It's a bit of a weird one. At the back end, nothing has changed in regards to sending out emails when registering, since the last DGA event. Yes there is an abnormally high rate of emails that never reach their destination. I've added in some logging, and EVERY person that has signed up for DGA 35 has been sent an email, or at least that's what PHP tells me. Obviously this isn't the case? Why? Perhaps spam filters or perhaps they've been sucked up into a black hole. It's something that'll need investigating.

In the mean time, you can still confirm you're registration by logging into the darwingamers.org website, and going to the 'register' page. You'll see a big button saying "Confirm my registration for DGA 35" or something to that effect.

On that note, if you're signed into the website when you first register, you won't need to confirm your registration, as your identity has already been authenticated.

Hey,
Just a thought, I had the same issue with one of the websites i am working with,
The sendmail wasnt configured correctly and sending out in the source
localhost.localdomian

the email was still saying it was sent from the correct address webmaster@domain.com
but spam filters were rejecting it because of the localhost.localdomain

so if the webserver thats hosting darwingamers.org has been upgraded this could be a cause?

maybe people that received the email could check ?

anyway Just a thought

Cheers
Rip

if it's using sendmail it has bigger issues than just being misconfigured.

I dont have a spam filter on at all.

I dont know about confirmation, I didnt have to do that as far as I know, I was logged in.

The main problem is I didnt find out about DGA 35 until I hit here (dont visit too regularly :)).
