Yay well done on actually beating our first raid mob, albeit we had to use lowbies:p :p
I didnt get any screenies :-(

Bifron was no hassle, smashed him to pieces, and the rewards:7 white tunics(on my screen there were 7 - lots of d grade crystals to crunch) and approx 500 stem i think. I think he is lvl21, and we were mostly lvl24 so perhaps within 3 levels is still ok for raids?
When biffron was almost dead, he 'resummoned' himself or something and was back to half hps. I lost targeting when he did it.

Then we had Greyclaw Kutus in our sites. As we're finishing up buffing, of course a GM(Silver) petitions me about changing my name. I asked him to wait and watch our raid(cos he needed me to log off a sec to change my name), so he did.
All buffed up, we gave a great warcry and sarogoth agro'd and ud'd on him. After gaining the mobs attention, we all assisted. With 2 tanks, 3 healers and the rest nukers, we made fairly quick work of his 4 minions. A glorious site of fire and wind being manipulated and hurled at these evil minions. So his followers are wallowing in hell, and we start beating on kutus himself. All cocky from our previous banishment of bifron, we think this will be over in a matter of minutes. Wrong! Damn this minion was imbued with an unholy aura, and his unnatural health was disconcerting. The protectors of the realm unloaded with all they had, until they had exhausted their magical energy and spells. Kutus was approximately half dead when our heroes had no will to summon anymore nukes, but being of stout heart, they started beating on this evil thing with their magical weapons. Slowly, with a gleam in their eyes, the heroes knew it would just be a matter of time, as the healers gods' were still paying attention and supplying the healers with ample healing power, however the damage output was slowed down but kutus knew he was destined to die. Unfortunately for our heroes, kutus was merely toying with them, giving them a false sense of security.
Being approximately on 1/4 hp, Kutus decided enough was enough, time to swat these insignificant upstarts and show them who holds real power in aden. The looks of shock and despair decended on the entire party almost simultaneously. Kutus mumbled a few arcane words, and ripped his minions back from where they had been banished. The party, starting to get exhausted, and having been spent of mana, had no way to deal with the reappearance of his dreaded henchmen. The battle was still raging, but in reality it was over. The addition of the minions was enough to overwhelm our poor defenders of the realm, and that was when the party had to scatter to the hills in order to survive to fight another day. Those who died were magically given life again, and a pact was made that day, a pact to rid aden of Greyclaw Kutus and his unholy followers.
Gm Silver gave his condolences and remarked we almost had him :) Then i had to change my characters name :p

Well done guys, we have learnt much in just 2 raids, we need to kill the boss before he resummons his minions and it looks like an all mage party needs to consider it's mana requirements more. Perhaps a few melee classes would help or just more nukers.:p :p

More nukers :D

Considering we didn't even have 2 full parties we did very well I think we only had 12.

If the main tank grp had nukers in it then the main boss would have been more damaged by the time the second grp started pounding him.

Two full grps would have wiped him from Aden.

So Come on guys make a nuker and join the fun.

We need to work on

Better buffing
Better nuking
Better communication

and we will be fine.

SE buffs ran out mid way thru fight.
Saw mages throwing Ice Bolts and other crap, use your main nukes, don't chain your crappy ones.
Spent 20 minutes trying to convince people that the level 28 human in half brig watching us wasn't gonna WTFPWN us and steal all our drops.
Had to write the same thing on clan chat 5 times before people would read it.
Unneccesary buffs being put on taking an extra 5 minutes
WHoever organises this can they please communicate with the group, keeping in mind who is in clan chat and who is not etc
Also posting this stuff on the boards would help.

Sorry guys but I didnt enjoy last nite
It was so frustrating trying to organise you guys, and I wasn;t the one supposed to be doing it.

We talk about this stuff and it all seems to go out of your head as soon as you get in game.....

/frustrated

I found, lead with Solar Spark and while that recharges chain Aqua Swirl and wind Strike, when Solar Spark recharged repeat prosses :), worked well.

We had a lot of mana left in the clerics but none in the mages in the 2nd fight.

I'd prefer you chain your two highest damage nukes and wait 1/2 second while they recharge than chain your 3rd and run outta mana halfway thru the raid.

I must have blinked or something hehe when did this raid take place ?
Did I miss a post on this raid going ahead ?

Who ended up coming to this raid ?
What were the final numbers? and
What were your group compositions?

What about Servitors, All the nukers get them

As an Elvin Wizard
1. Unicorn Boxer Summons a Unicorn Boxer, who supplies additional MP. Requires 3 Crystals: D Grade. 30% of acquired Exp will be consumed.
The Additional mp is that like it recharges you or just gives you more mp???

2. Unicorn Mirage Summons a Unicorn Mirage. The unicorn will use attack magic to assist one during combat. Requires 1 Crystal: D Grade. Consumes 90% of acquired Exp.

While they both would help with the DPS the 2nd one would help more.
But the additional MP from the first would help aswell.

Thoughts???

Yeah nothing was posted or organised which is why I had a bad nite I suspect.
What should have taken 30 mins took close to 2 hours

We targeted Biffron, level 21 Raid boss

Party 1

1 tank
2 Healers
1 Nuker

Party 2

1 tank
1 healer
6 nukers

We then tried a level 23 Boss in OB without 2 of the nukers and got him below half before his adds respawned and buffs faded and we all died.

We had 13 chars on the first, 11 on the 2nd

With 15 chars we could do all of them with ease. 18 would be perfect.

We ran Deathfyre, DrK and Mag there to buffs before the fights, however without a buff order it took twice as long as it should have.

Party 1 I was the main tank , I aggro'd the mob, UD'd and hated till i ran out of mana and then started assisting

Andatank had the 2nd tank in the 2nd group, he targeted the adds and everyone assisted him, then when they were dead they all assisted me.
By the time all the adds were dead I had more mana and hated some more till the end
Didnt loose aggro vs Biffron but did to 2 of the mages on the 2nd one.

Both time mages stopped casting and 2 hates brought it back to me.

I'd like to apply a lot of the thnigs we do for the high level raids to the low levels as well, saves a lotta grief for whoever is running it.

Yeah smallish numbers, no proper plan, just happened. One full grp and 3-4 in the other grp.
Was supposed to be just a scout of the bosses really, so we tried bifron and he was unexpectedly easy, however the next one we scouted (Kutus) bested us, though i thought at first he would be easy too.

Everyone pretty much had 2 characters so actual humans playing was low.
Deleveling the characters from 30'ish to 24 took ages. LOL, running around Dion like farmers throwing ourselves at the guards.

For the the likes Kutus and the slightly higher level ones, we'll need to plan accordingly and have a few more numbers than we did.

bugmans

i had a ball in the raids.
Its a good learning curb for us new raiders dont get dishearted because something didnt go to plan.
Also if everyone got there char to 30 and d lvled we would not be talking this way because we would have done both of the raids with success.

Anda had his lvling service going for a week and invited who ever he could but ppl didnt turn up so our grps were at different skill lvls.

This has been alot of fun and i think it was a success in my mind but i am new to this :)

All the wizards get a similar pair of summons. The pvp summon is cheap to cast but if you don't mind spending the extra crystal, the tank pet will do similar damage and can also recharge you. It works exactly like recharge for the healers except that it can only be cast on you. If you have the higher mana gain skill, you'll also get very good value out of your summons recharge and you'll have the mana regen of two characters working for you.
