No, not the cartoon, yesterday, I decided to buy a Mighty Mouse, Macintosh's latest edition into multi compatible technology.
So first the monitor, now the mouse, next hopefully a really great keyboard.
http://www.apple.com/ has all the goss.
In any case, I can say it's bloody brilliant to use, I've never used a mouse that felt this good. That said, it can be a little awkward to use for anything complex, but I've yet to see how it survives gaming... I feel it may not do so well there, but it does handle really well.
touch sensitive? hmm... i dunno, i prefer my mice to make clicks. or does the whole mouse click, but can tell whether it's a left or right click, using them force sensors?
Exactly... They just look ordinary, but really, they're something special. They still make a click, it's just hard to explain how it all fits... It just does. From what I can work out, the click is a single click mecanism, but it senses where the pressure is coming from and assigns it to that side.
Quote from Apple.com: Mighty Mouse even sounds as good as it feels. The audio feedback built into Mighty Mouse provides an aural sensation that responds to your movements. When you scroll or click, Mighty Mouse produces subtle sound effects based on your actions.
hmm.. so they wanted it to look like a single button mouse so the apple users didn't get to scared.. and when they get used to it, then they can start using this "right click" thing.... or apple + click, whatever they call it.
