ok guys i have been chatting to beest from LOD and he is telling me about this manor system from oren???
does anyone know anything about this?
are we bothering with this?
it sounds productive and we can all make some $$
has ferst or blu said anything or r they too busy leveling to do anything??

Oren controls both the elven villages as well as its surrounds so its actually a pretty influential region for our level range.
Seeds can be sown in Patriots Nec, Aestetics Nec as well as Cat of Apostate. I'm not 100% about the ones in vic of Hunter's Village.

Oren manor is not particularly profitable. Its charging too much for the seeds and not giving enough in return. I suggest taking a look at my crafting spreadsheet. It has some sheets dedicated to the manor system. You will need to plug in the current seed/crop prices. If you're unfamiliar with the manor system, I suggest reading:

It takes a bit of thought to get your head around the manor system.

Probably the most important thing to remember is: don't get sucked into what mats you get for a seed. One seed has type 1 Stem and type 2 Braided Hemp. Don't think Braided Hemp is better. It isn't. If 100 seeds give you 50 Braided Hemp on type 2 then you would get 250 Stems on type 1.

The best way to use the manor system is for those mats that have a MUCH higher market value compared to their vendor value. Varnish (less so now than a month ago), Abones/CBP, Steel and the like. Also, not everyone who sets up a manor understands the system and you can make a loss on some seeds.

Another important point: you can buy a seed from one manor and sell it back to a DIFFERENT manor. The only stipulation is that a seed must be used in the area it is bought. If the Dion buy/sell is 100/200 and the Giran buy/sell is 200/250 then hey, buy and use in Dion then sell in Giran.

Oh based on Elly's response I think I misinterpreted the question. There are sheets for manor production on my crafting spreadsheet too. Last I checked, TheBlu could make Enchant Weapon Bs for 79k for example. I would very much like to know what is being done with the manor products. Are they being used by Industry only? The wider alliance? Made for sale?

From what i've seen so far a lot of Blessed Res scrolls are being made and used for the raids, they used at least 10 on Friday nite

Sorry that should be Enchant ARMOR Bs for 79k. That's still well short of the 400-500k market price. It took me awhile to understand the manor system. Now that I have a relatively good grasp of it, I have to shake my head

All manors seem set up to produce what the owning clan/alliance thinks it needs and uses itself. It is however (potentially) a massive money making machine. If you can make Enchant Weapon Bs for 400-500k and sell them for 1.5mil why not make 100 of them?

If you read the L2 boards, you'll see a lot of people complain about farmers monopolisng the manor system. People never get a chance to hand in their crops. This is partly because there is a fixed 1:1 ratio on seeds:crops. By this I mean, if a manor sells 5000 Great Cobols, it buys back 5000 Great Cobol crops (or "fruits" if you prefer that terminology). One seed can be (and often is) more than one crop. From 400 Dark Coda seeds I got 850 crops.

This is only a problem if all the seeds are purchased. Manor owners like this situation because seeds that aren't bought cost them money. The manor owner can set whatever seed price they like (from 60-1000% of base price). Unless I'm missing something, there's absolutely no reason to set this price high. It simply reduces the profitability of seeding. The manor lord doesn't get any more money this way. Why discourage seeding? It boggles the mind.

It makes more sense to, say, sell 50000 seeds in a day for the absolute minimum price and pay more for them with the best reward type than any other manor. You could call this "economic warfare" if you like. You want people to bring their seeds from other manors to you instead of where they came from. AFter all, you can turn virtually any crop into a profit for yourself rather than someone else.

Do we get anything out of the raids (if we go)? If not, then BSORs being used on a raid where we get nothing means we are getting nothing out of the manor system. I'd like to see us getting something out of it proportional to our size and contribution. We're certainly not as big as, say, Industry in the high end so I certainly don't expect us to get an equal share, just *something*.

Considering we usually have very poor numbers(for our clan size) for raids i wouldn't expect too much. I believe gratzz had a bless rez used on him, not sure, but they used them on whoever died, it wasn't on eg. industry only.

I don't know anyone in SB that seeds yet, though i'm sure there's a couple?
I believe Blu has said to give him the 'fruits' or whatever and he will trade them in as soon as the clock starts, before farmers, so you can get your cheap stuff.

I'm sure if anyone wants to help gratzz with the issue of 'what do we get out of this alliance' he wouldnt mind, i'm just happy to be able to attend sieges and raids(if a maj helm dropped while i was there, yes i would ask if i can have it:p ), as i'm more into hacker/slasher and pvp(when im a little higher).

If you want a share in the Manor profits then buy the seeds, use them and give them back to Blu or Ferst for a quick handin if you cant make it yourself.
These guys seem to be on the ball in terms of times etc.

As for raids we have been to 3 raid nites

1st Dropped a tallem helm and a DC shield, supposed to get the shield but havent spoken to Blu about it as noone at the time needed one.

2nd Raid nite we had 5 people

3rd Raid nite we have about 10 but frankly we screwed up bad and the mobs didnt drop anything anyway.

Basically if your not at the raid dont worry about the drops, let the people that were at the raid sort it out.

There seems to be a feeling from some people that we are being ripped off by this alliance, I frankly can't see how.

We have a castle now and in C4 that will be more usefull
We have access to the manor system thru Blu and Ferst to rig it to make yourselves rich
We can now accompany raids with the hope that we get something dependant on our contribution which has not been much in that regard.
Noone in this clan has been Pk'd or harrassed haev they?

Don't get me wrong. I personally don't expect anything like raid loot. When I get higher level I'll certainly go if, in *general*, theres something in it for us. By that I mean if 60 people including 6 SB go to a raid and we get 100m of loot then really we should be getting 5-8m of "stuff" (after costs like BSORs).

Hand ins for seeds is something I guess but really isn't that much. If hand ins are a problem it illustrates the problem I was talking about: demand exceeds supply so Oren manor should be selling more seeds.

What I'd like to see is access to manor products. There should be a plan or strategy in place for the manor that goes something like this:

- Alliance needs are estimated (BSORs, BSOEs, etc);
- A certain amount of set aside for sale to raise funds to defend Oren. This is eminently doable. TheBlur could decide to sell 100 EABs and 100 EWBs a week. This would be the second allocation of manor products;
- After that alliance members should be able to put their hand up and basically put orders in. SB could say "we want to purchase 10 EABs and 20 EWBs for clan members". We receive these at cost or cost plus a certain number. It could be 10%. It could be cost plus seed price (so theres no additional risk to the manor). This would be the third and lowest priority.

Optionally switch (2) and (3).

This, to me, counts as "something". It wouldn't be csoting the alliance anything (directly) but it would be a benefit to us.

I need quite a few EA(b), as I'm prob gonna have my BO for a while I'd like to make these all +3 :), and my BW is still not all +3 yet, I have been buying these through mammon or shops as I can aford them, but if could get them cheeper through Oren Castle sign me up :).

even if Theblu sold them to aliance members for 100k, the diffrance should then go to the defences of the castle or putting the extra back in to the cost of making the bless rez scrolls :), and we still get cheap EA scrolls :)

I have some +3 B grade but a lot more I'd like to take to +3 (since I now have 3 characters in B grade).

I think I'm done with crafting but anyone crafting top B or bottom A needs B crystals and Oren castle can make those too.

If anyone wanted ench armour/weapon B then, why didn't ppl raise their hands up when we called for help to pharm stuff at devastated castle / Disciples necro ????
Spear, Dayjha and I were hunting there for weeks on end to get enough mats to craft our A grade. The mobs there spoil EW and EA B grade. Dayjha and Spear got their entire sets and weapons done in a couple of weeks. I have a whole bunch of em on an alt waiting for Moghedia to get his ass into B grade.

We offered on numerous occasions and mentioned it a number of times that were going A grade material and B grade scroll hunting.
All we heard is crickerts chirping. Very few ppl could be bothered :(

I think if ppl can get organised then we could probably do a few more clan hunts up there. A lot of it depends on Spear tho because ultimately the whole expedition hinges on his availability.

WRT to the manor system.

I think Gratzz has summed it up, hand your harvested seeds to Ferst or theBlu and they will organise the appropriate rewards for you.

I don't remember anything about EAB/EWB offers. Then agian, I only hit B grade in the last week or two (and only bought/made my B grade at around the same time).

I'm quite willing to purchase my enchants from the manor at some discounted rate and I don't think its unreasonable to ask for that.

You don't recall seeing the offers because much like everyone else unless something is directly beneficial to you, its ignored.
The offers were there, don't get me wrong I'm not having a go at ppl, I'm just hilighting that there is a communications issue...

WRT to purchasing them from the mannor system, thats exactly right, you will get them at a very good price, just collect the seeds and change them over for the items you want.

Hang on... if we hand them crops we get what? The mats? Some manor product of our choice? Or both?

I don't recall any such offer and belive me I would have jumped at the chance, unless I was already in a grp, then it would be rude to leave, or I just missed the invite for a number of reasons :)

As I work at nite as well, have two jobs, I log on late most nites and when I do I always ask if there any grps going or if the grps are winding up. A lot of the time I get aswerd wit silence, must be them same crickets :), or get told the grps are winding up, can handle this, but silence is just rude :) imho. now I realize that this may be missed due to battle spam or if in town the shop spam, which is why I usualy ask a couple of times wit a small break inbetween :).

As per the above Quote I don't ever recall any offer to join such grp, but as I said i log on late most nites so prob missed it :).

From my understanding, I mite be wrong, any fruit that is handed in by any one using the manor system is then used to by stuff. if we hand in the fruit we should get the mats it would normaly give plus the items we want + the adena it cost to get.

so if ppl are using the manor system at oren then the castle is getting the fruit, this fruit + the adena is then used to buy stuff like EW, EA, BRez srl, and the like.
Now I may be wrong in this train of thought, plz corect me if I am.

Do earring enchants give +2 armour? if so cheaper to get 15 EA scrolls for my BO set then fork out for A grade jewellery.

Enchant Armors give +1 for the first 3 (safe) plusses and +3 after that. C/B/A grade enchants all do this and its the same for mdef (jewelry) and pdef (armor).

As for the offers of enchants, I concur with Magrath: I would've noticed this too. In fact, since seeing that comment (along with the accusation of not listening), I've asked a few people if they remember it. None do.

More to the point, I wouldn't expect someone else to go out and farm enchants for me.

Communication issues on both sides here. Last nite was a prime example I think.

i think the offer was not for farming enchants, it was for farming mats for A grade. i guess enchants are a bi product.
