E-Commerce Solution needed

Hi guys,

Does anyone here know alot about E-commerce? I want to try and set up one. I have tried proggies like OS COMMERCE and ZEN CART (2 good programs) but they don't do what i want easily.

Basically, i want to be able to sell a product where you can upgrade it such as the parts and the actual webpage tells you on the fly how much it will be to upgrade / downgrade. More or less like Dell.com.au website.

I have been told ASP is better to use for E commerce solutions for what i want it to do. Is this true?

Lastly, i would prefer open source e commerce solutions however any that solve this situation will do. Thanks very much guys

Based on what I've been doing for the last semester. For the love of god, NO!
