Heya guys.
Just got a question to see if anyone has an idea on how i can fix this.
Updated the bios in a mates computer (motherboard being the one in title) using the Abit Flash menu program and now it refuses to boot. No post. No error sounds. Nothing.
Have rest CMOS many a time. Pooped battery for 10 mins and still nothing.
Searched through Abit's usless webstie for some help on what sort of recovery options i might have and there isnb't anything on it at all about a bios update failure.
Anyone got any ideas on what i can do other than returing the Mobo?
Have attempted loading original bios onto bootable floppy incase this mobo supports the feature of reseting bios through that but no cigar.
Help me please!!!!

The only thing I can think of is to find an identical board, borrow its cmos chip, boot your friends board, shadow the bios to RAM, take out the bios chip while its running, put in a new blank chip and reflash.

Thank's wrath. I forgot you could do that.
So.... Anyone got one of these mobo's that i could borrow the bios chip out of for 5 mins?

if its not posting only other thing you can do is send it back to abit and get them to reflash it.

see this is why boards need dual bios

Actually Korny my way works as well - just have to convince someone else its OK to borrow their motherboard.
