Is out Tommorow. going to go see it. been reading reviews (although american ones), and more then 50% of the people say thats is crap. but most of them say its unintellectual and lacks plot. which is no surprise we know what is happening and whats going to happen...we all played the games :/ i would have thought a zombie movie always lacks plot. its a written rule somewhere.
its about loud noises and blood & guts. hopefully it'll be good :)

No - not at all. I reckon this is what's going to make it even better for fans who've played the game, as it will tie in with the experience that we've already had.
A friend of mine just rang me with two free tickets - do I want to go? Shit yeah! Am I expecting an Oscar-winning performance? Only if the game has won Oscars I don't know about.
I'm expecting an extension of Doom - the game. Nothing more, nothing less. I think it's going to be great (bet he can shoot and shine a torch at the same time :-))

The only reason I want to go see the Doom movie is because the female actor Rosamund Pike is damn hot... That and I'm interested to see how the whole First Person thing works...

idchoppers - My fav cause it usually bypasess the No Cheat Codes setting on multiplayer
idclev - Level changer that worked in one of the versions but not the other i think
idfa - Full ammo but no keys (go an find em ya girl)
Bit of useless trivia that i can remember, in warlords 2 (not warcraft 2 ) there was a magic wepon u could find called idspispopd ;)
What a great movie! I guess this gives legitimacy to the "Duct Tape mod" - yep, all their flashlights are stuck to their guns.
The whole first-person thing is about a five minute sequence towards the end of the movie - and it is done damn well. Should have heard the cinema erupt when it went into first-person - fantastic.
I don't think anyone in that cinema was over 30 - except for me.
You like Doom 3? Go and see the movie. Played Doom 3, but didn't like it all that much? Still go and see the movie. Haven't played Doom 3? Why the **** not??

If you want some idea as to how they developed the plot, pay attention to the names they are given when they pick up their guns - the Rock is called Sarge.
Oh, and the main doctor is doctor Carmack - still not sure if that was cool or lame.

Yeah it was a pretty decent movie.
i went to go see it tonight, it wasnt as bad as i thought it'd be, actualy rather good, soundtrack went with it and theres was only about 5 mins of 1st person shooting view, heh, id give it a 7/10 kinda, it was quite cool to watch but the Rock was a complete asshole in it lol
id say the preview kinda ruined my view on the movie at first

movie was so so shit, the only good parts
a) doctor carmack
b) sarge referring to the "Big Force Gun" as the actual Big ****ING gun
and c) the little bit of first person view, which was definately different.
definately wouldn't watch it again, or buy it...

well i played the game doom for a bout 5 min then gave up (computer was shit at the time) but ill go see the movie if its as good as you say
and the thought of seeing the rock possably doing the rockbotom to an undead creature of some form is worth paying for :D

I saw this on Saturday, quite enjoyed it.
he doesnt use any wresling moves :P its just a fist fight. i think it was an awesome movie. best game-to-movie style movie ive ever seen.
i'm no wrestling nut, but i'm sure during that fist fight, he picks up the other dude, around his shoulders, spins and throws him

good movie i liked the 1st person veiw thing it was a sweet idea and it had a reasable story line made it a kick ass movie!! 7/10!!!
and yeah the hand 2 hand fight scene at the end was sweet
