Have a problem, most programs i am downloading off the internet appear to download ok but when i try to run them i get I/O and corrupted errors.
Doesnt matter which programs...flash,java,mozilla etc all get various install errors. Installing files from cd and any programs i dont download off the net will run fine. All Hardware in the pc has been tested and no errors found.
Win XP has been reinstalled, firewalls/anitvirus/antipsyware switched off didnt make a difference.
Any Ideas?

Deactivate the NForce4 Firewall... You'll need to do it in Bios. I had the same problem, and it's a well recorded fault with the chipset.

I'm pretty sure it's in the onboard options, just have a browse about there, You'll find something to do with NVFirewall or something like that. I'm not infront of my normal computer right now, so I can't check, but it is there... Onboard features.
