Just recently bought the NEC e616v Phone (3G Phone), now the phone was orginally locked with the 3 Network but was unlocked (I have checked to confirm this). I inserted my Vodafone SIM Card and the phone accepted it all fine, but when attempts are made to make or receive calls vodafone says that there is call barring activated, same goes with SMS. I put in a Telstra SIM Card and it all works fine.
I rang Vodafone (3 times actually) and they claim there is no barring at their end and to try to reset the SIM, ok so I try that, no luck. I have also tried to go into the phone settings to change the call barring on the phone but I get the message "Unable to complete this operation at this time".
Any help/suggestions?
