I remember awhile ago someone started a thread to ask who's shooting with what cams these days. Im still using my Fujipix S7000.
Im looking to upgrade to a digital SLR sometime soon. Currently thinking the Nikon D70 or Canon EOS 20D (i'd love the 5D but cant afford it)
Who out there is keen on photography and can give me some insight?
Also what type of photography do you prefer? eg. landscape, portrait etc.

I own a D70, did months of research prior to its purchase, and have been reasurred time and time again with comparitive reviews that it was the right choice. Amazing peice of equipment.
I prefer portrait and architectural shooting.

Looking at investing in a Minolta 7D Digital SLR. Friend has one and i'm reluctant to return it everytime i take a photo. :)
Currently use the 20D... Personally I can't find anything major to fault it on. Certainly not with the image quality, but a few issues with useability, which the Nikon would take over it.
Remember that buying an SLR isn't REALLY about the camera anymore... It's about the format, and the major two formats are Nikon and Canon. You can't simply swap lenses between them, so choose for the lens, not the body so much.
The 20D is a great camera, but the screen is too small...
Will likely be retiring it to my second body soon though.
