DGA EVO 6 Warcraft 3 The Frozen Throne Competition
Teams will be battling it out for the number one position here in the NT. Teams will consist of 2 players per side. ( 2 vs 2 )
Finalised competition structures will be released closer to the event, as teams are confirmed.
First Prize: "00 Second Prize: 2 free steak and 2 cokes
Competition play will begin on Friday the 20th at 8pm, last game will be played at 12am Friday and then Commenced again at 11am Saturday.
Each team will play 2v2 on a map selected in order. Teams will be given 2 lives however if more than 10 teams register, a knock out system will occur.

sometimes being "pro" means you can play on any map at any time. instead of just crying about it you could have asked them to put in a custom rotation. but i guess you've made up your mind.
at least there actually IS a competition. thanks brownie. pitty i cant play any of the comps :(
I would just like to point out to everybody that YOU CAN WIN MONEY... How often do you get money for playing games? Instead of nay-saying and being all "Oh proper maps suck because there are only 4 good players" You could realise there is still quite a bit of time before evo. Enough time to get your partner, learn how to play, then learn some strategies with your race against others... I thought a money prize would encourage people to get a bit more serious and actually try to win, rather than take a backseat and whinge about proper maps being played rather than custom... Because WC3 TFT is played professionally there are so many resources out there to help you to learn about the game better and improve your gameplay. Places like WGTour have public leagues which encourage professional gameplay using Battle.net to host games and play internationally... There are heaps more if you go looking around.
I'm not a WC3 player and I absolutely hate the game, but I hate the anti-trying attitude that seems apparent through a lot of territorians when it comes to competitive play. Its the reason why Progaming League Qualifiers flop and why there will never be any base for progaming here...
well leonami i did say i would compete if brownie wasnt, i just dont like vsing brownie cos the last 4 times i hav he absolutely slayed me and my teammates so i dont quite think there would be a point if brownie played in it and he still hasnt answered if he is or isnt going to play....
HAHHAHAHAHAHHA, i laughed so hard when you said that wortel after milamber played. I started getting back into it.. and seriously.. if you watch replays and do 1/4 of what they do.. you will have a great chance!
as it stands... I will be running the comp during the event, as brownie has expressed a wish to play... SO if you do want to play.. come and see me before hand or when we call for competitors...
As for the stance on footman frenzy, I personally am not sure if it has the support yet (this weekend would probably be a good time to prove me wrong) and its a bit harder to prevent cheating when playing customs maps, and since nobody put their hand up to host a footman comp, it seems it wont happen this time...
but i may certainly join in on some random warcraft fun before and after the comp... i am personally looking forward to alot of DOTA http://www.dota-allstars.com/ time... its pretty well balanced, and provides alot more variation in hero playing style and enemy stratergies, its the game of choice at my college, competetive, team work, and quick...

Dw about a host Sheneon will host but he aint got the net atm to say this so ill say it he hosted all the last lan footies games and im sure he will this lan and hamburgers ill be personally happy to show u how to play Dota but i wanna know the conditions ? will it be AR AP DM SM DM-AR i personally reckon we should start with AR-SM and work up to DM-AR-SM plz comment
