It did make me think. It made me think about the long process of production of taking Carmack's fairly loose plot, mixing it with heavy doses of ghey and stoohpid, sprinkling some inconsistencies and non sequiters, icing the whole ghastly mess with pissweak acting, action direction and casting.

Well if you think of it like that, you think waaay to much. Sit back and enjoy it for what it is and stop bitching. Good ****ing movie IMO!

Post 7

It was better than the Resident Evil sequal so all's good :P

Sure, I think too much to have enjoyed that movie. I think it was aimed at lower molluscs and people who, being in a persistive vegitative state, can't breathe without mechanical assistance. But for those terribly intelligent folk among us who who know more than 150 words, you're right. It was stupid.

Post 11

I agree with heretic. every now and again you need to sit back, switch off and enjoy the movie for what it is. Not what you think it should have been.
Come on guys its the rock. not like he's gona start quoting shakespear.
I for one didn't mind it

I don't mind simple action movies, if:

a. In the case of Doom, they'd kept the demons, rather being another superduper virus, and
b. It made any, that is, any ****ing sense.

[edit] Indeed, I go out of my way to see simple action films at the theatre, where the surround sound makes it worth my time and money. I saw Blade Trinity at the theatre, for example.

On the plus side, I got to look at Rosamund Pike a lot.

Oh, and the Rock was wasted on this movie.

I dont mind a mindless crap movie. I own Godzilla. Doom was just too crap IMO. The best bits in it were the little in jokes (Dr. Carmack, Pinky Demon) that no one but me laughed at.

Post 14

I liked the Carmack reference too. Though it should have been more along the lines of "Carmack, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy programming skilz..."
