Was looking at random WoW screenshots on images.google.com.
stumbled upon this and thought wtf?
Does anyone know if Stormwind was on fire during closed beta? Or is this what stormwind looks like in the future/past, by using the timegates in outlands?

Looks like a boss or something was spawned there (which happened a bit in beta) and it threw around some fire globs like Magmadar does.
Yeh, Marcus Jonothan is still atop his steed as well. That would indicate it isnt in the past or distant future, also.
During Beta Blizz decided to have some fun and sent most of the MC bosses to roam the world. Magmadar was in Stormwind, so i assume thats what is happening in this pic.
