The introductory period for Velocity Gaming ends on 1st April 2006.
We have installed Antamedia Cafe software (www.antamedia.com) and standard pricing comes into effect on the above mentioned date.
Many people have enjoyed the venue at much reduced prices and I hope that everyone continues to enjoy playing at Velocity so that we may expand into larger premises and provide an even better service to the Gamers of Darwin.
I have met many people through this venture and some I now name friends.
I have been taught lessons in gaming and have in turn taught some lessons. You can teach an old dog new tricks but beware of experience and cunning in an old wolf...
Please see the prices below. I am sure you will agree that they are perfectly reasonable considering the venue, the systems and the games.
Pay as you play
Note that these prices do not include GST.
Casual and convenient hourly rate
Casual Internet Access $6.00 per hour
Minimum cost of ".00. You effectively “prepay” ten minutes at session commencement.
Cost is calculated by the minute and charged at the end of the session.
Caffe software constantly displays updated cost in real time.
Prepaid
Note that these prices do not include GST.
Discounted Rates for larger bulk time purchases
1-9 hours prepaid block purchase $6.00 per hour
10 hour prepaid block purchase $50.00 per block
20 hour prepaid block purchase $90.00 per block
At the time of purchasing, customer has option of purchasing block time as either an unsecured time code, or by nominating a unique username and password, thus becoming a member of Velocity Gaming. The customer is free to choose, at any time, either a time code, or to add prepaid credit to their member account.
Membership carries no additional cost or obligation of any kind.
Prepaid time is not considered “credit” for any goods or redeemable for or any service other than Internet Access Time at Velocity Gaming. There are no refunds.
All prepaid time is fully transferable to another person. Only one logon per time code or member is permitted at any given time. The purchaser of either an unsecured time code or the holder of a username and password are solely responsible for the security of said access methods. Velocity Gaming is in no way responsible for your time code, once issued. Velocity Gaming is in no way responsible for who you give your username and password too.

Special Long Session Discounts
Note that these prices do not include GST.
Book entire venue, reserving all ten computers $40.00 per hour
Minimum of five hours.
Must be booked well in advance.
Must be paid in advance or at beginning of session.
Book entire venue, reserving all ten computers for 12 hours$320.00 total price
Typically a “dusk til dawn” lockdown.

For every block purchase of 20 hours during the month of April, Velocity Gaming will donate "0.00 to Overdrive that he may direct towards the maintainence of GU forums, servers or any other "free" service that he has been providing to the Gamers of Darwin, and indeed, gaming folk further afield.
This effectively means you are gaming for $4.00 an hour as opposed to $6.00 an hour and supporting the community that supports you.
Velocity Gaming would like to offer more but at this stage it is not viable ecconomically.
Membership
As noted above, there is no cost or obligation of any kind associated with membership of Velocity Gaming.
During the month of April, all new members will receive a free hour of gaming at Velocity Gaming. There is a limit of one member account per person.
If you wish to become a member of Velocity Gaming, you will need to provide some details.

1. Member Name - Your choice of Member Name.
2. Password - Your choice of password.
3. Your Name - Your parent's choice of name for you.
4. Email Address - A valid email address.
5. Address - Supplied at your discretion.
6. Postcode and City - Supplied at your discretion.
7. Date of Birth - Supplied at your discretion.
8. ID Card - Some method of uniquely identifying yourself. This is for your security and to ensure the free hour of gaming offer is not abused.
9. Phone Number - Supplied at your discretion.
10. Comment - Other info you wish recorded on your membership.
