Yup, portal looks a bit wack. Really going to take the ol' mind a while to bend around that one.

Imagine some kind of capture the flag with the the portal gun and the gravity gun (no other weapons)! I can imagine a whole set of new tricks to use, portal jumps n stuff. Could be so fast paced and awesome.
For instance, you could setup an infinite loop to gain speed and then quickly portal out whereby you'd be going at insane speed!
Too bad I hear it's just SP.
I hope they don't make the maps too much more complicated. Realistic maps n stuff I think would detract from the point of the game. I can imagine a lot of people making maps for this. "Have you tried ruin's Super-Jump-Puzzle-Of-Doom-Map? It's insanely hard! You've gotta do a triple portal jump across 4 moving platforms on the run!" :)

If you have played Prey , it has similar concepts of portals, but they are fixed. Combined with insane gravity distortion and out of body play, i think its pretty cool. But nowhere near having a weapon that can create portals for a FPS puzzle game ;)
