Well it has come that we move backwards to move DGA forwards. We are back to almost where we started. Darwin Bridge Club has welcomed us back with open arms and we are going to take it full on. With this DGA we are going no frills. There will be no timetable, there will be no games suggestions. This LAN will be for the gamers, run by the gamers. We will provide you everything you require to have a good time, however what you so whilst there will be your decision. DGA Will provide you as many dedicated servers as we can muster, and it will be down to you whether they are filled or not.
A little on what we are working on for the future. In conjunction with our sponsor internode, DGA will be providing internet at all LAN's in the not to distant future. We are also looking at a point structured competition run across multiple LAN's. This will be based off team games and the winner will walk away with cash and prizes.

Tell me, I paid for my membership last year at the last Evo but didn't get a chance to use my free LAN entry yet, and my membership has since expired. ^_^' I remember reading about memberships being extended, but would this hold right for me as well?
membership has been extended, but unfortunately we can't grant free entry at this lan due to reduced numbers. we have to make our money to pay for the venue, etc.
40.. Damn I feel old :P Sad to see DGA has to step back a bit again, but like Coco said, best of luck with it and hope everything goes well. 40 man lans are much more fun anyway imo.
Tachi - Yeah mate I am back for good. Got the family on the way, so here for the long run
Kensuke - For this lan we are unable to grant any members free entry. However from the following and beyond we will be fullfilling free entry to those members that have not used it yet. We are also going to look at the membership again and see if we can offer more bang for buck.
I must also remind everyone that if you dont confirm you will be turned away at the door. So please remember to confirm your registration.
hmm, might have to stop in just too look. as i work every weekend so can't ever go. but i'd still like to see the old bridge club. i dont think its a step back in a sense...but a reajustment.
I would be nice to get an email from DGA guuys to know exactly WHEN the next DGA will be happening - atleast 2 weeks from the date.
By the time I found out about this DGA, I couldn't get time off work so OI couldn't go.
Just an email (with some realistic time to get ready for the next DGA - say about 2 weeks) to all of the members on this forum from the admin would be nice, just so those who would normally work on the day which DGA is on can make room for the Lanning to occur.
I think that something as little as this would be nice, and would increase the amount of people who know that a DGA is coming up instaed of being stuck in my position where you find out about it when it is too late.
Well you have heaps of notice considering its on October 1st. So just over a month from now. Also the thread was posted a while ago so there was heaps of notice.

if u had registared early you wouldnt miss out but there may be a cancellation or two yet - who knows. Not sure how the empty spaces will be handled yet

There is actually 2 positions available. There was a technical failure in the registration process, and I have dropped RoyMcRoy an email and a PM, in regards to going and registering now.
However he will still need to get in now to beat anybody else who registers and confirms.
