Any one play tremulous just out of curisousity? I have been playing for about 3-4months now its a good game. Aliens vs humans. If and one wants i can post wats in the game and some helpful tips to get you started.

I'll give it a go. I'm a huge NS fan, and still play on custom servers/maps.

Is it a mod or standalone game?

this is the download link. Its only like 90mb or something dunno how. just choose the version 1.1 (stand alone) and select your comp.

and thats about it for getting it up. usual proccess with the unzipin and loading. It is a full game off the Quake 3 engine or somtin.

In game Help (once you have it up and running and dont wanna be a total nooby ingame)
when you choose a server to play in it will load and you will come to a selection screen to choose between 1. aliens 2. humans both races are equal. once you have chosen your race you will be able to select wether you wont to be a fighter or builder. doesnt matter you can change to either one except aliens cant change to builder from a fighter.
ALIENS: IF you chose alien you can be a dretch or a granger.
dretch: is like a spider weakest form you run along the ground into people head bites do more damage,btw you can run on walls by pressing c and c again to turn it off, it is automatic biting with the dretch. if you kill someone or just by waiting over time your ev (evolve points) will raise which is in the bottom right hand corner. should be a number if you have a number you can press q which brings the evolving screen up and you can evolve into a bigger monster and take out the oposing team with more ease.
Granger: this is the builder you can build bases in the bottom right corner next to the evolve points it has a number usually your power number which the "overmind" main power source can control. there can only be one and if destroyed all power is lost not including your spawns. you can build heaps of stuff just press q and read about wat they do but once you learn you will just choose and place simple if you dont want to place the object click the right mouse button.
Humans:
straight forward on the classes the same as aliens except humans get credit instead of ev and you press q on the green box simply called amunition box.... than you can get better weopons or weopons for you certain needs. take time to learn each one. that goes with aliens too.
Stages: stages is simply get x number of kills till stage 2 the number depends on the number of players in the team. at any time you can press tab and see your score or at the top it shows how many kills to the next stage. Stages are important, if you can get a stage you get more weopons more monsters to evovle to and more items to build.

Yep been know to stalk the rooms and hang off the GU Tremulous Server (gamers-underground.com:30720) Roof ;) from time to time !

cool nice to see some more playing. you will most likely see people of my clan wondering in the aussie servers -:GoDz:- or me i think i have.... ^_GoDz_^ tag at the moment but yer our clan is getting pretty big now.I was hosting a server but had to run it from my comp and had to turn off my firewalls...but when i turned em back on i couldnt get a server up anymore even if i tried taken firewalls off again =( so GU and GA servers are where we hang.

admin command

AFAIK, access to the admin command on the trem server is with the RCON password. But our forum and server admin/god is unlikely to hand it out to random people who just come on to the forums and request it...

yer dont blame him.But admin works like this, firstly you need a guid which can be downloaded from this tremulous site unfortunatly i cant remmeber its adress, once you have this guid the owner of the server or sever operators (level 5 admins) can grant a person admin by going !setlevel (name) (level 1,2,3,4,5). with admin you can do bans kicks mutes etc depending on your admin level level 1 does virtually nothing... except list admins i think.... to know the commands in admin to simply type !help.
and that should bring them up =P.
