easy solution: sell your friends into slavery and buy both! :p

dont get an xbox for its media streaming capabilities. unless you're willing to encode every movie/video you have to wmv, you're stuffed. it doesn't do xvid/divx :(

Apparently there are apps out there that convert other formats to WMV on the fly for the purpose of streaming to the Xbox 360, for example.

Man this update takes ages when you're capped.

it's dodgy, i've tried it. works sometimes, and well when it does. other times you end up with something that ends up really badly dubbed, if it works at all.

Ah ok, fair enough. I won't bother trying it then. :P
