So you linux guys get banned - Wow?

A whole bunch got banned for using the emulation software cedega.

It doesn't let warden run properly.

So anyone in GU affected or you all running windows PC's now?

Nope, I gave up trying to use linux for wow right when the first wave of people got banned for doing this.

Simple fix. Don't play wow ;)

Interesting tho you could actually run hacks thru the linux setup and not be detected :)

Apparently the warden can pick up the fact you are using Linux and the Emulators, and doesn't return a false positive. Apparently it can pick up using hacks and bots running the game under Llinux. According to the blues on the forums, Running wow on Emulators under Linux isn't a bannable offence.

Also it says 100's of people got banned. Dunno about you but I'm pretty sure in a 7 million subscriber base, There is more than "100's" of people running the game under linux. So maybe those banned, may actually have been doing something dodgy.

Also apparently a high number of people running the Auctioneer mod have been banned.

You dont get banned for using linux, the Warden program knows you are using linux and is fine with it. The people who got banned are using linux as an excuse.

I'm sure there's another program other than Cedega. It's got a small name. Can't remember it atm though.

Also apparently there is an auto-target Flag carrier mod, using it breaches the Agreement. Resulting in a permanent ban.

Yeah pretty big backflip from their exhaustive procedures showing they don't get false positives or whatever other crap they tried to shove out.

Best part is I bet you go to Ashara? beach and there will still be a bunch of bots running into objects, going in circles etc.

No doubt. Also, since the X-realm BG's there has been a large number of "AFK Bots" in AV. I bet they are still there.
