Well, along with dozens of poor reviews and world-wide dissapointment comes another blow for PS3 fans...
The PS3 does not come with an inbuilt scaling chip, so unless you have a display that can handle it's native 720p resolution, it automatically throws it back to a 480 resolution. Too bad for those gamers who own older HD sets that feature only 480i, 480p, and 1080i.
But, they do have a solution for you... spend another USD "499.99
That's right, buy a reciever capable of scaling any resolution to 1080i and you're in luck. Wow, go Sony! "000 for the console, $2000 for a reciever... I can't wait for it to hit Australian shelves!
Meanwhile, in other news, even the Wii is outselling the PS3 on a global scale... http://nexgenwars.com/
The PS3 can scale up to 1080P, if your TV can handle it. Most can't not even most brand new ones. They should have put that "5 chip in, tho it is very enjoyable to hear the PS3 wankers are dropping over 1300 bucks US to go home and kill some 480P sprites. Same as the Wii I believe, just "000 cheaper.
I think its very pleasing to see the catastrophe that has been this PS3 launch. I do so hope it brings Sony down. They dropped the ball along time ago and now expect to just take our money cause the're Sony....wankers.

True but not unexpected Nintendo is expecting to deliver around 100k-200k units per week into the USA until year end. Sony's initial launch expected to be about 400k was apparently about half that, and they will deliver another 200k tops by year end. Thats a generous estimate probably more like 50k-75k.
im actualy thinking about buying a wii. Actualy come to think of it, i don't think i will buy either. Wait until the marketing hype dies down after xmas and cut through the bs.
