oh how nice of you to add, of course maybe it would have been more useful to post on wednesday when you had seen it had come back?

Post 4

he did, just not here.

Post 5

god damnit and 4 days untill the scifi channel starts i guess i will just have to watch it other ways ;).

Post 6

So if the Replicators hated the Ancients so much, why did they not leave them alive to torture or whatever? It's annoying that living Ancients are found and gotten rid of before they can help in the battle against the Wraith.

Post 7

yeah, it was kinda pointless, i guess they just needed some crazy cliffhanger episode that was 'epic'.

Post 8

am i the only one that was like wtf where is the fight sequence between last episode and this one? one minute they were coming then the next all ancients were dead and jack and woolsey are hiding somewhere? errr ok so they just pretend like it happened but dont really show you?

Post 9

yeh they should of made it a 3 part episode showing the fight :D.

Post 10

And how exactly korny would that progress the story line? Throw a huge budget at one fight over 3 episodes?

I've lost all hope in Star Gate Atlantis. Simply put, the civilian commander (Elizabeth Weir) needs a major testeroin injection to actualy make ferm and assertive dicisions. Each time i watch the show, I allways get the feeling of "look at my boobies well i make a dicision that will agree with everyones point of view, and opinions".

Same thing allmost goes with Battle Star gallatica season 1,2, and 3. That when your at the break of tottaly anhilazation. You don't have a decomoncracy you have a dictataship where the head chief commander makes the dicisions and everyone follows it. That and copying major plot holes from the original, chanaging the sex's of the main characters in the original movie but keeping there same attitudes is just wrong.

Starbuck acts more like a block, than a fighter pilot chick. Thats my general feeling.

Saul Tigh - was original black in the original, but now hes white. Completly losses the charactor.

Number Six - looks like soft porno to me, I assume it only to attract the the fan boys that can't stop looking at her body.

Finaly, Laura Roslin
'Seeing that we're on the break of tottaly anihization of the human race. Considering I have discovered that I have cancer I will lead the whole fleet on a chase to some remote, enemy infested area in the whole galaxy. In the Hope that my dream is correct that the map to earth is there! Mabe at the same time i will go and buy myself a coffee on the way back!

The only one who actualy had bulls in the whole season 1 and 2 was Admiral Cain. The rest of the eps are like pulling each hair on top of your head out slowly well dancing on hot coals

on another note.

MGM has since announced the release of two direct-to-DVD SG-1 movies for release in fall 2007. The first will wrap up the Ori storyline, and the second will involve time travel

Post 12

time travel ruins sci fi shows. this is fact (cf: temporal cold war)

Post 13

Only Farscape did time well, the rest have been hopeless.

Post 14

Pity the rest of the show looked like Jim Henson on ****ing PCP..

quantum leap -awesome time travel show

Post 20

time travel was the very fundamental premise of that show. time travel episodes or story arcs in an otherwise linear, persistent universe almost inevitably suck. hard.

Post 21

since when has stargate been linear or persistent?

Post 22

almost exclusively.

Post 23

uh-huh so ascended beings that live outside of LINEAR time and space, the premise of the show since the gou'ld were defeated seasons ago.....

Post 24

well first things first, i've only recently watched sg1, just about to finish season 5, so thanks for spoilingit :P

however unless you're trying to say there are a bunch of episodes where sg1 go off galavanting around in different time periods, my point still stands

(granted, there have already been a few episodes that involved the future/past, but they were surprisingly well done).

Post 25

haha yeah, Kane there's a really neat one involving a ZPM coming up soon for you (season 7 i think it was), best time travel treatment in TV by far.

BTW, Mepm.. the show is linear and certainly persistent, sure they drop out occaisionally to hunt some bugs that some dumb scientist feeds meat to, but each season still has a linear progression empowering it (granted I've not kept up with atlantis since season 1).

Amanda Tapping had signed on for another two years on SG-1 last year. The cancellation of SG-1 put an end to those plans but the studio has decided to keep her in the Stargate fold. She will have a regular role on Stargate Atlantis in Season Four. No other details have been announced, such as the number of episodes or her possible addition to the main cast.
