Was Sampras a top 20 player throughout his 20 year tennis career?
No because he only played for what like7-8 yrs.
No-one else has been so competitive through such a long time span.
No-one else has been able to change and adapt to the new guys and the new skills etc.
He will probably be the best of all time for a long long time

Navratilova certainly is a champion but honestly its just womens tennis. Its no where near as challenging as mens. I prefer watching womans tennis because apart from the obvious, they have better rallies and games. Women are overall more entertaining to watch, but they don't have the abilities the men have. In mens tennis if you hit a bad shot you lose that point, in womens you might get away with it.

I disagree, when your watching anyone in the top 30 of the mens ATP ranks, when they can rally at 160-180km/h, switch and hit down the line at the same speed and chase down those hard shots, women dont compare when there serves just break males rallying speed. Why would i want to watch a player that can get away with a few bad shots, its like watching myself.
