In 2006 work begun on the new design but was never finished. Thankfully, we're now extremely close to finalising the new style with simplified nevigation and new colour scheme. 2007 will also mark the launch of the expanded network.
Doesnt feel like 7 years ago when I was getting pwned by shannow and kahoona in Q2 octa4 server on the map Q2DM1. I remember 130 pings on 28k dialup connection! I reckon I could pwn kahoona now but shannow, i dunno hey... Was fun back then, still having fun now :D
Remember all but the first of those, not surprising seeing as how I joined after that was no more.
I remember being a closed community too - in a period of MASS cheating it was nice to have somewhere to come that was 99% cheat free, and generally a good bunch of (predominantly) blokes. If life was as carefree as it was then, I'm sure I'd enjoy more gaming with "the lads".
