Updates to the Source Multiplayer games have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The specific changes include:
Source Multiplayer
- Improved multiplayer voice communication, now using a much clearer codec
- First release of a completely reworked in game text chat to which now includes a chat history and a filter to only see important chat messages
- Fixed not being able to use sounds, decals or models if they were downloaded from the server
god finally they fix the crappy InGameVoice - man that sucked new InGameChat... hmmm
Yeah but i Really think that Valve are ownin coz with this steam thing they can do all these updates instead of most games that come out with a handfull of 5mb Patches and any updates get labled as a BAM new expansion and gotta shell out $50
I think he means that Valve is doing the community a great justice with regular, free updates and new content that is automatically applied - rather than delivering downloadable patches that must be found and installed by the user or blatantly taking advantage of your average consumer and releasing the same game with different vehicles and charging $50 for it (ie; EA and the Battlefield series).
