So what did everyone think?

are Peter and Nathan dead? what happened to Sylar?

OMG Mr. Bennet has a name!!

Post 2

Sylar is alive and will come back worse than before imo.
As for Peter and Nathan, I reckon Nathan might have got out of the blast wave and who knows, Peter could've regenerated from the blast (if he survived the fall to earth :P)

Post 3

I think Sylar is dead, but the new bad guy will be the guy that Molly says is the only guy she can't/won't track, the guy who scares her worse than Sylar.

Post 4

Exactly. New badguy time.

So... how long is the wait? :)

Post 5

please rename to spoilers inside ><

Post 6

Thought it would've been obvious, but I'll rename the post.

Post 7

I reckon the new bad guy will be Peter and Nathan's father. Anybody else pick up on what their mother's power is?
It was so cool to see Hiro kill Sylar.

Soooo.....the "Heroes" have always been there? Remember what the black guy said about "every generation needs a good Hero" when he was talking about Peter?

Looking forward to the miniseries during the break between seasons.

Post 8

i was mildly disappointed that the sylar/peter fight was over so quickly. also, why did peter need to be carried up when he's quite capable of flying himself? can he only activate/control one power at a time? or was he suffering some sort of a 'block'?

Post 9

I wondered the same thing also about the flight/one power at a time.

I'm pretty sure I'd heard Bennet's name before, maybe from his wife or boss, or from the text at the bottom of the screen.

As for the "bad guy" thing, I'm guessing Sylar's blood flowing into the sewer is of some significance to a new threat, and also as mentioned there's the guy Molly couldn't track. I was surprised that the charcters didn't drill her more about that when she mentioned it. They seemed almost to ignore it completely.

Expected a bit more from the final battle action wise also as mentioned.

Post 10

obviously she can't track the haitian!

(or failing him being the ultimate bad guy, its mrs. petrelli)

Post 11

I'm wondering if there's any significance in the cockroach - when Sylar was first captured, he kept staring at the cockroach in his cell.

When you see the blood going to the sewer drain, I don't think it was coincedence that there was a cockroach crawling around the lid - I reckon it's somehow linked to the new bad-guy.

Oh, and did anybody else pick up on what Mrs Petrelli's power is? My wife had to point it out to me, and after that it was obvious.

Post 12

i'd guess that her power has something to do with peter continually having those dream premonitions

Post 13

To answer my own question - season 2 starts September 24 2007

or, to take a simple viewpoint: it could just be that he was a little preoccupied with the whole 'not blowing up and vaporising everyone' thing. :P

Post 15

yeah. that'd be the block i was referring to. got a bit overwhelmed with the whole thing :)

Post 16

Re Mrs Petrelli's power - it was the power of persuasion. Every time Nathan goes against her, she touches him, tells him to do something, and he comes around.

The same thing happened with Claire.

As for Peter, he says what's going on when he's about to blow up - "I can't control it....I can't do anything". That's why Nathan had to fly him up, and Peter couldn't.

Oh, and back to the cockroach - remember in Episode 1 where Mohinder is teaching class, and says that the cockroach is the pinnacle of evolution?

There's definitely a link there somewhere.

Yeah I had the same thoughts aswell but more on the line of Mindcontrol and shit, yours fits better tho.

Post 18

there was already a muse/persuader, sylar killed her

so far the show hasn't had any double ups on the powers, (apart from sylar/peter) so i'm gonna go ahead and say the so-called influence was just a mothers influence, and not the power of suggestion.

Post 19

I wanted a big fight, kinda of a big left down episode.

Post 20

yeah they didnt spend much time/money on fight scenes, which was dissapointing.

This episode left me with something to be desired. the whole "sylar" thing was obvious, nathans all of a sudden turnaround wasnt very believeable, how can you survive that long after being shot in the stomach without bleeding to death? It was all pretty much an anti-climax :/

And i dont think thats her powers either xaine, i think they have left it secret for a reason. like "Noah", as in Noahs arc saving the world etc. it fit in this episode, but if you would have found out at the beginning it wouldnt be as cool. Same with hiro's dads power...maybe i missed it, what's his?

Post 21

pisses phaser beams and shoots photon torpedos out his ass imo.

Post 22

That would be awesome. epicly awesome.

Post 23

I think that Hiro's father is Kensei.

Post 24

I think Hiro's Father has the ability to teach anything he knows in a very very short period of time. How the hell did he teach Hiro to fight properly with the sword (when he had noexperience) to being better than his father in about 2-3 hours?

Post 25

... hiro can stop time.

Post 26

If he stops time he is the only one immune from its effects so how would he learn?

Post 27

who says? he can time travel with an extra, he can teleport with an extra, why can't he freeze time with an extra?

Post 28

Because it involves contact... How do you spar holding onto each other?

Post 29

its a ****ing SUPER POWER.

touch him, freeze time, let go. whatever. maybe he time travelled back 5 years with his old man and learnt then time travelled back. point is when you've got someone with time manipulation abilities the 'how did he learn X so quick' becomes a sort of unnecessary question.

Post 30

I love how people question the real-life physics of a fictional TV show that revolves around people that can stop time, fly, read minds.....

Post 31

Was the shot of hte blood circling the drain, just that?
Caus i had the distinct impression that Sylar crawled into the sewer and lived (The man-hole cover was off).

Post 32

Yeah pretty sure he's crawled down the drain.

Post 33

Yeah - from that still shot you can see blood going down the rungs of the ladder (which wouldn't be there if it was just blood going down the drain.)

Post 34

typical to be continuted storyline...he is dead...or is he?

and the only thing hiro's dad taught him was to fight without a heart, emotionless, ruthless, hiro already had the skill of swordfighting, he was just too afraid and not confident enough. that only takes 10 minutes :/

I did think of that but isn't the Haitian's power as a blocker proximity related though?

Post 36

i'm wildly extrapolating. that's the beauty of 'super powers'. there doesn't have to be any set in concrete limits!

Post 37

am I the only onw who is reading "Whois Nivho" on the top of that storm drain cover?

weird.

Post 38

it says 'storm drain' :P

Yes - yes you are.

rofls.

Niard Mrots.

Post 41

now write that backwards :P

Post 42

Drain Storm.

DAMNIT.

Post 43

ima bash the crap out of you

Post 44

:(

Post 45

slylar?

there is still a possibility that sylar didnt crawl into the manhole and was pulled or drag by someone or something into it????? prob something to do with the croach

Post 46

Hmmm... Generations. Hiro's father is Kensei, prolly immortal (Can't die of old age). And the cockroach is prolly related to Saresch's(?) father, being as it runs in the family he may still be alive and have a power of some sort. I'm guessing we'll expect alot of the older generation to show up and reveal all their powers. IMO :P

Post 47

FYI - http://v3.newzbin.com/browse/post/2486025/

Post 48

I reckon:
1. Hero is Kensei himself.
2. Peter's mother doesn't have the power of persuasion, she's just a psycho who's good at influencing people. Eden had that shit already. UNLESS EDEN'S HER LONG LOST DAUGHTER..!!!ZOMG!!!
3. Sylar was dragged into the drain by Big Bad Guy (aka Nivho).
4. The fight scene didn't have enough Super Saiyans.
5. Someone should have just shot Peter and taken the bullet out later like they did with the glass earlier in the series. And then put him and Hiro into astronaut suits, get Hiro to teleport them both into deep space, Hiro returns, Peter explodes, Peter regenerates, Hiro goes to get him, and repeat until Peter gets control of his power. Or dies of old age. Don't really care.
6. Vegemite toast is awesome.

Post 49

After watching the last episode, I reckon that Kensei is Hiro's father.

the same look about him.

That and I think Nathan Pitrelli threw Peter, or Perter remembered he, too, can fly.

Damn good episode though, almost as bad as the last episode of series 3 Battlestar....

Post 50

Im with warlock on this one, hiro is not kensei, his dad is,
sylar is still alive albiet just,
nathan would have gone up up and away and then let go of pete, he explodes and depending on how nathan feels - either catches him on the way down or lets him fall to earth the long unparachuted way as he can regenerate so he aint gonna die either way.
Nathans mum is just a bitch ,and the boogey man is probably the head of the IRS and molly owes taxes in the millions which is why shes scared of him as she is only 8 and doesnt have a job...
