What's a nice easy I shot solution like Nero Vision to convert that? Problem I'm having actually USING nero vision is that I always seem to get sync issues midway through. Any other easy solutions that seem to work well?
AVI -> DVD

with VDub you can config the settings for her, save the settings file, send that to her and she can open it and apply it to the currently opened video file

Dan you can easily fix Nero. It appears that there is an issue with Xvid codecs. You could try uninstalling Xvid and upgrading or try the following fix
You can disable certain Nero filters by executing the following commands:
Start > Run > regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\DSFilter\NeAudio.ax
Start > Run > regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\DSFilter\NeVideo.ax
If the files do not appear look for NeAudio2 or NeVideo2.
This fix does work as it fixed the exact smae problem that I had recently.

also i find burning at around half the max drive/disc speed works wonders for fixing dodgy nero dvd burns.
