Quick question - kinda urgent - a client has a winXP Pro lappy that she took to a government location whereupon some IT admin dickwad went and added her machine to the ntschools domain - they havent told her user/pass info for it, and i need to add her back onto the domain.
she doesnt have the local machine pass, as the system was handed down to her from someone else who's since forgotten that pass.
I know there's an XP password hacker out there someone, but I can't find it - she has a demo in 20mins of a product on that lappy harddrive (cant get to the backups soon enough due to config issues with the product to be demoed).
I'm aware of third party "password hacker" applications but have never personally used one.
Something I could advise would be restoring the drive to a previous state using the recovery feature... but it'd probably go too far back and she'd lose the presentation anyway, plus it'd take yonks to reinstate the restore point.

I think its the same thing, you boot from it and it starts up windows and then it has a admin password reset tool. And some other crap... its a pretty cool little cd.
Does your 'client' have an account with the domain? If not, why was the machine added to the ntschools domain? People don't go adding laptops to domains for the fun of it.
