Just got it from JB hi-fi, Played for about an hour very cinematic and great looking game, combat is kinda repetitive but its so worth advancing the story in the game. There is a bit more variation to the combat then I thought there were be, but most of it is essentially taking out heaps of dumb enemies :(.

I think its worth getting if you want a game with a good story, great graphics and great voice acting/cinematic's. Its meant to only be about 8 hours long though, but so far i would rather 8 hours of a game this good then a longer game with no story etc.

Loved the demo. I'll hire it, but not buy it. I rarely will spend money on any title, regardless of quality, if it doesn't have multiplayer.

Why spend $90-"20 for 8 hours of play?

The game is ok and the aftertouch is extremely cool... but I hate the fact that you don't get jump...

Post 4

Yeah, its one of those game where you just want to jump as ya run around :P. A actually like playing as Kai more, shooting arrows and using aftertouch is fun. The AI seems better when you shoot stuff at it as well, they seem to dive for cover etc. When using the sword the AI is stupid though :(

Hmmm sounds like that after all the 'hype' about this game that it really isnt worth it at all!!!

I think it easily lives up to its hype, Matches what it was hyped up to be, the only problem with the game is how short it is. Ive played through it a bit more now and the combat stays varied throughout the game.

They really should have re-used some maps and had different objectives in them to add to the length as well as made it harder so you have to repeat scenes more often, rarely will you have to repeat non boss battles unless you really suck at the game. I think its probably the prettiest game out as well.

It's definitely a better game when it's set to hell mode, which should really be selectable from the beginning, just finished it on hell mode, it seems to smooth out the melee AI and the boss fights are much more interesting as you fight through their full range of attacks rather than just beating them down in the first round. When it comes to length It's a matter of personal preference. Padding this game to 20 hours with fetch quests would have been an easy way out but I'm glad they kept it short and sweet rather than stretching a concept too thin. Worth the money in my opinion.

I need the sequel(s) so do the right thing rec and buy a copy, I've got to figure out what the hell is up with that giant golden mask wearing raven-god thing.
Also rec have you ever thought of taking up WOW, if you do the math that game can end up costing as low as several cents per hour of play time if you play it enough. Nothing like grinding the same game play mechanic endlessly to get your dollars worth.

Yeah just started on hell mode, Game is only around 8 hours is so because on normal difficulty you probably won't end up repeating anything other then the odd boss fight.

I personally wouldn't have minded some kind of exploration in it, such pretty environments and you only go to them once each, the only time you actually spend some time on a map is the final map. I also think the first half of the story was a bit rushed when you compare it to the last half.
