Hey Guys,
I recently bought a DWL-G510 PCI Wireless Adapter, to connect to my DI-524 Wireless Modem/Router.

Ok so here's the problem:

I'm on a 8000/384 connection, with the PCI wireless adapter (perfect signal strength) I only just get under 200kb/s download rate with my ISP download speed test. Yet if I am wired to my router/modem i get my full speed of over 700kb/s download rate.

So far I have played around with drivers on both the modem and my adapter.
I have played around with multiple settings, yet nothing has improved. I'm really at my wits end here.

If anyone can provide me with possible solutions it would be highly appreciated :)

no probs.

200kb seems to be a bit low. My wireless maxes out at around 400kb downloading. Wired its full speed.

Have you tried a different channel? There could be interference on the channel. The best channel I found is 6.

Also when you are downloading have a look at the speed you are connected on the wireless. If that drops so the download speed will drop. How big(db wise) is the antenna on the PCI card?

How far from the router are you?

Why are you using wireless if you're 4 metres from the router?
