This past week has been somewhat of a hectic one for me. I went up to visit my grandad who had been diagnosed with cancer and given about 6 weeks to live. The night I arrived I was informed that he had gone to hospital with difficulty breathing. So we went up to the hospital. I saw grandad and I managed to get a hello out of him and a wink. After that he drifted in and out of consciousness due to the high amounts of morphine he was on due to the pain he was getting from his cancer.

I watched him take his last breaths on Wednesday night before his body lost the fight against the cancer.

My only regret is I wish I had of gone up sooner so I could have had a chat to him and a beer.

*raises beer* cheers grandad.
