Internode have very very badly failed me, i am extremely disgusted with what is happening....I've been having dropout issues ever since i signed up with Nodes ADSL plan, i have a ticket thousands of characters long probably, it takes node 5-10 minutes to read the whole damn thing, they've tried troubleshooting me through every single thing they can think of that would be causing it, i've changed routers/modems tried different ethernet cables and phone cables tried different network cards tried different power setups (e.g modem on its on power source and such) tried changing the config in the modem and router editing the LAN settings and made the IP address manually configured, i've tried everything that internode can think of...and i called them up today and there last idea was "Ping the DNS (192.231.203.132) and moniter your connection to see if it times out at any time". I've had Telstra come to my house twice and tell me my modem and router and line are all fine, i've had telstra check the exchange and that was fine, in which of course i was charged for Telstra checking my line when there was nothing wrong (Good job internode nice troublshooting idea). I don't know what more to say, can someone who maybe knows a bit more than Node actually help me out here? or can anyone suggest anything else? If i remember anything else i've tried i'll let you know.... oh also i've reformatted computer... and that did nothing either..Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong?

Yeah I get dropouts occasionally on the Casuarina Exchange... I think it was my encapsulation method because I changed it to fix my speeds when I upgraded my plan and now it doesn't happen as much. Try switching to PPPoE and give that a go... Could always be the modem too so try another...

They have a lot to help if you ask.

Afaik telstra will only check the line to the box outside outside your house. From the box to your wall socket is your responsibility. Just something else to check out.
Hey, thanks guys for all the great idea's and such, i'll give you a bit of an update... last night internode had a problem with there cor1.syd6 router, at around that time i decided to check out the whirlpool forums, on the BiPAC 7300 (My modem) and it seems that alot of people are having the same issue, i upgraded the firmware to the latest beta (1.35 rev47 or something) And did a full factory reset, as of yet, no drop outs, but i'm sure i'll still get a few, the firmware update was meant to correct some drop out issues, but apparently people are still having trouble with 1.35 aswell.
Also, for the question about which exchange i am on...Yes, it's the Casuarina Exchange. I would really love it if Telstra cared to check it out....They said they would send someone out to it... But knowing Telstra, they didn't.
As for the issue with the line inside my house, i had a licensed cable guy thingo (Can't remember the exact company name but i looked him up in the phone book) to come and check the actual line itself check if it had been damage or anything, and he also said that the line seems fine. Telstra blamed my modem to start with when they came out...But after changing the modem and router, i have no change at all.
In relation to the matter if i had spoken to Internode before getting angry, the answer to that..is yes. I have been speaking to them for about 3 months, they have been attempting to troubleshoot me through this same problem for roughly 2 months of that 3 months.
For now, that is all i can think of, i'm really hoping this new firmware does the trick, if not...any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Jarryd.
