The results are in for the first couple matches for many teams. Things are panning out as expected, but I thought I'd go-on to document some of the match-ups and victors of the teams many have been watching closely...
Adversus have defended their #2 position against Grr! Combustible Battalion, but in apparently what was a lack-lustre performance. Their next opponent will inevitibly be another top-tier team, and it's going to be interesting to see how well they hold up.
Nesreca have had two clean wins against Australian Strike Soldiers and Heads on Sticks, and are expected to challenge PnP next in an attempt to steal the 1st place - this is sure to be a cracker of a match.
Heads on Sticks have had both a dissapointing win and a dissapointing loss. A 2-1 victory over BushRangers eventuated, which should have easily been 3-0. Next, a 10-0 loss to Nesreca was dealt, partly due to a roster crisis which has prompted the addition of 3 new players.
Symbolic have taken both of their matches against Currahee Assault Squad and Connection Interrupted with ease, and will be looking to slot into the top 10 with their next challenge.
Angry Power Rangers, seen as a huge under-performer in pre-ladder scrims, has taken victory over Gameathon moving into 18th spot.
Third Eye has managed to put an active team together and have won their first two matches against Carnage and After Grog Bog in flawless fashion. They sit in 21st place and are sure to progress much higher.
Panopticon Conspiracy, once an old-school CS powerhouse, overwhelmed Brotherhood of the Mercenary with an 8-0 win. Unfortunately they went on to fumble their second match against Forceful Insertions 1-2. They sit in 33rd place.
Fang with Vengeance were a late commer in getting a full squad together, so have a long way to move up, but have just beaten Aces for 48th spot.
Heavy Medic have suffered a suprising loss to Hyphen Gaming, and are placed in 52nd. We look forward to seeing some stronger results from these guys in the future.
Mad Dogz have finished their first match, dominating Nameless 11-0. This team will certainly be one to watch out for.
