Getting a 360 just for this game, looks like good shit.
Better hurry up then, it should be in at EB right now :P
Ross NOOOOOOOo!
So did anyone score a copy?
Went in yesterday to geelong and nothing. :(
Casuarina was sold out, but the palmo store had a couple left :-)
Got it!! in my like 20th game hour! Was a bit lost at the start but now i kick Xeno-butt! and raiding planets to find and eliminate space pirates *yerr* to steal there space booty!
Any opinions on it? Still deciding if I should buy it.
very good, but has some issues.
read any review and you will get the gist.
The dialog is top notch, the story is great, the action is above average.
A few minor niggles in the graphics, texture pop in and what not. Annoying loading times, hidden by sloooooooooooooooooooooooow elevators (the one in your ship being the worst offender) and a few story arcs that just "end" and don't feel finished.
if you can over look all of those, it's a fantastic game.
a little TOO much talking imo. i spend more time waiting for dialogue than i do running around DOING shit.
Think I'm more inclined to rent this one, and buy Assassin's Creed (more my thing).
too much goddamn talking in that game too. at least you can move around in the cutscenes.
You could probably finish AC in one rental session.
Mass Effect on the other hand, you would have trouble with, especially if you want to get the whole story.
PA nitpicking mass effect, posted cos I can.

ZOMG well once i have finished Mass Effect i'll swap ya with Creed :P
yer i like exploring grabbing loot, then killing Weird monkeys on lvl 1 Haz planets lol!
lvl 27 atm i just do side missions for cash & items now and gonna get back into the story line..
Not that great range of items in the game. I got to 1.5mil credits before I even finished the game, did most of the side missions as well.

Assassins Creed is excellent. I might in the near future get a 360 and get a few games.
I sold my PS3 for now, as the only thing I was using it for is media streaming. All the games that are exclusive to the PS3 become boring as batshit very quickly, and all the good titles are available cross-platform.
I re-purchased a 360 for the better games available right now (Mass Effect, Halo 3, Forza 2, Project Gotham Racing 4, their XBL poker game). Plus a range of little things I liked more... being able to recieve/send messages in game, listen to my own music while in game, and the controllers are more comfortable + have rumble.
That said, I'm already missing my PS3 esp. now that the GPU has been unlocked in Linux, but will re-purchase a 40GB model when the XBMC Linux port is ready, Gran Turismo 5 is out, Home is out and the controllers have rumble. Sometime next year I assume.
when XBMC linux is up and running, i too will be buying a PS3
best app ever.
