Okay, I'm about to QQ about my video card, because I dont think its fast enough :( I was wondering, what would 2x 8800GTS's be equivelant to in the 8800 range of things say GTX and Ultra wise, would love to hear your opinions because I dont wanna end up buying a whole new single video card since the cheapest PX8800GTS 320mb is only $302 accordin to Staticice

Just a question... What motherboard and CPU you using?

I just upgraded from a 939 socket AMD 3800+ single core. To a Q6600. And in games like CSS and LoTRO have noticed a FPS jump 2x at least. And this is comparing with my old system 2x 7900GT and new system has only one(dom is borrowing the other).

My Motherboards a Gigabyte GA-M55SLI-S4 with a AMD Dual-core 5600+

Post 4

Nothing, dual 8800GTS' would more often then not always be faster then even an Ultra.
But SLI is a bit funny because some games you might not see an improvement at all.

For a bit more then $300 you can get a new 8800GT and be happy with single card goodness.

Simple fact is.. those 8800gts cards are quickly becoming obsolete.

good luck finding a GT before christmas. nobody can keep up with the demand.

Post 6

Wonder if they have enough in singapore? :)

Post 7

There are some retailers that do have 8800GT's in stock, just be prepared to get a non permium brand (IE Galaxy or Sparkle) for an inflated price.

IMHO, just wait for the G92 revsion of the 8800GTS.

Post 8

galaxy won't stay in stock either, anyone who says they have them are probably lying. i assume its the same for sparkle. NO manufacturer is able to meet demand. as for the 'inflated price', it went up across the board.

Umart has a couple of gigabyte and Inno3D ones.

see, what you dont know, is that i can see exactly how many of those inno cards umart has purchased, and exactly how many they have on back order. now i'm not going to cross the line and divulge that information, but i stand by my earlier statement of good luck getting one. i'm not going to say you definitely, will not, can not possibly find any, but you'd be lucky to do so.

Post 11
