Okay, I know we have a thread about the now ongoing attack on the Scientologists. One thing has me intrigued by the cable outages in the middle east - we can be fairly certain now that they're no accident - I noticed on the Anonymous wiki: Project Chanology, in the first few days after their video, that they made reference to a DDoS protection firm based in the middle east that was protecting the Scientology website from DDoS.
So it brings me to wonder - however unlikely - could it be possible that this group is responsible for the chopping of these cables in some bid to shut down Prolexic?
AFAIK they got past prolexic anyway. The only reason the DDoS has stopped is because it was mainly to get their attention. Everyone has since moved on from there and its being actively asked to stop DDoS'ing.
There were no ships in the vicinity of the cable cuts for 12 hours previous and after the outage. According to Egypt and the footage and radar they have from the area.

This is obviously being done by some group, it takes out much of the communications for Iran and the middle east. USA is the only country I know of which has a submersible capable of doing this. Remember at least for the first 2 cuts there were no ships (on the surface) near the locations.
