Hows about go into general chat and continue eh?

Post 16

Just a rough sketch, gonna fix it up more tomorrow'ish before work maybe, It'll definetly look better then what it does now though, just a quick 5-10 minute job here lol

The writings not even in the center god I suck at this stuff

Post 17

I hate to be a rude c*nt, but that's not a logo. It's text on a bunch of images.

Examples of logos:

Post 18

Ohhh Logo lol, I didn't read the thread topic too well then, on to my next thingo

Post 19

Just had an idea... Will have to whip it up over night though, there'll be a bit of work in it.

Post 20

that's what she said. ;)

Post 21

i stll like papa's. Did you actually make it yourself papadom?

Post 22

I'm just gonna stop trying now... I fail bad at this stuff and have no idea what I'm doing and am just doing 5 min sketchs... /giveup

Post 23

If as I understand your trying to attract sponsors you want a logo that isnt too complex.
Identifies us and what we represent.
Newbitlord has my vote - put that on a t-shirt with a catch phrase underneath!

"btw - Yes Neotheo mine was done in Visio"

CRAPPY LOGO TIME

Fill in colour where needed.

Post 26

Ooh those are good.

Post 27

Some decent attempts there. I like the concept of the male figure becoming pixelated, as if he were BECOMING A GAME! :P

Good stuff - do some more fella.

Post 28

That logo needs more AA.

Post 29

is it just me, or is one of those targets aiming at the arse-end of a pig?

Post 30

here's my obligatory crosshair effort =)

the other one, no idea what colours you're going with, obviously that can change. the shattered A would be done a bit better o course too

Post 31

First one reminds me of Pokemon, the second one looks good but the DGA needs... something...the letters just look very Microsoft Word-ish.

Edit: MS Paint hack job - different colours help it alot :p

Post 32

Aegis's concept with the crosshair is brilliant. With some polish (new font/colours/refinement of crosshair) it's the clear winner, thus far, in my opinion.

Post 33

Put your skills to work and pretty it up rec. I know you have photoship skills =)

Post 34

I have to agree. Excellent concepts.

DVD yours are quite impressive

Simplicity wins most of the time

Illustrator. ;)

Post 36

I like Aegis Crosshair Logo and DVD's Tetris Logo ^_^

I am feeling creative atm (haha bored shitless @ work) so I thought I'd give this a shot as well it's rough but if someone wanna tidy it up it's all good ^_^

Post 37

Yay I got the ball rolling.

Here are some more crappy logos, not doing anymore as it's eating all of the time.

Change colours where needed.

Post 38

top left is good dvd

Post 39

DVD's top left looks great i reckon, though I'd either fade the crosshair out a bit or lighten the blue in the DGA as it runs together a bit too much - the text wouldn't stand out enough on say a t-shirt with that colouring (but as we've all said - colours can change :) ). Otherwise, i reckon that one wins :)

Post 40

Yeah that top left one of DVD's is win.

Post 41

I like bottom right

Post 42

Top left is brilliant. But the font is soooo 80's.

Post 43

lol does dvd work for an advertising company by any chance cause those are all pretty sweet ^_^

so? dont we all dream of decent remakes of our 80's gaming joy? ;)

Also try and reduce total number of colours. A plain sans serif would suit that, simple is usually best.

Post 46

How bout a bit of a combination, DVDs cross hair icon with the lettering being broken, similar to Aegis' 2nd one, and I think a bullet coming into the crosshair, shatterting the lettering.

Post 47

Probably too complex for a workable logo.

Post 48

Simplicity wins ALL the time. Don't **** with something that's already good, kiddies. ;)

No I don't work in advertising (thats why everything looks dodgy :o), I just have Photoshop on my computer.:p

FYI, apart from the fonts, all the logos were made with presets that came with Photoshop, with slight tweaks. I'm just lucky Photoshop has a crosshair as one for their premade custom shapes. I'm one lazy ****er :D

Anyways, here's the PSD for all to muck around in. It includes latest attempt plus the previous one (inside a folder, visibility turned off).

...
I really should stop procrastinating

Post 49

Aww if only I was home where my PC was xD

Hrmm I have MS paint on this POS laptop, maybe, just maybe I can still make something worth while...

To add some input to the thread I'm with most others atm, DVDs logos are looking to be a winnah but with my mad Paint skills I think I can create some competition lol

EDIT: ROFL forgot how much MS paint sux! Haha no fkn chance on this thing and I won't be bak till after dead line, oh wellz xD
