Its supported keyboard and mouse since release, its the games they don't make use of it.

they may not make it cross console, but its possible they'll make it compatible with PC's. they have done it before. i'm pretty sure anyway.

oh .. so does GT4 support keyboard/mouse?
and hopefully they go down the pc compatibility avenue - although if they don't it might be something the mod community can bend it's will toward since they dont need to make a straight up MP patch now.

The only cross play game was Shadowrun where xbox360 and PC users could play in the same games, but you had to sign up for games for windows live.
Valve had tf2 working cross platform (360 and PC) but took it out for the final release, as they didn't want all the console gamers crying when they got pwned by anyone with a mouse/keyboard

Though with this game the mouse/keyboard control thing is a non-issue. I've been a gta pc player for every other release, but I'll have to admit on the ps3 the game is just so much more natural on a controller - even the shooting (with or without autoaim assist)

I can handle a controller well enough, I just hate playing RTS and FPS games with them - autoaim is ghey, and switched off the "general area" feel is crap.
I'll give give GTA4 a go on the PS3 with a controller though, I'm well aware things change, maybe that experience has too.
