finally after searching for ages I found one I love :P
It is coming from Melbourne and will be here friday at 1pm, Im stoked I can't wait :P
Its a very nice American Stafforshire terrier, I love it!

I really do hope you have your home setup and everything ready for its arrival.
Small tip though, don't try to act too excited upon its arrival and invite everybody over to meet it for the first week.

CRATE TRAINING.
Crate training?
Yeah I have food, bowls, Bed, Lead etc everything is here ready, I prepare things :p
Just google up on 'dog crate training' especially as the first few months puppy will be spending a lot of time indoors. If anything believe me, if it's your first puppy to yourself you're never prepared. :p
Also if you can help it, supermarket specials aren't exactly good quality. My gsd had problems on hill's puppy however the royal canin gsd puppy worked perfectly. You actually feed them a lot less with the better quality stuff.
Eukanuba ftw. Has everything the dog needs. I add leftovers, raw meat, egg, rice and stuff when I have it but the biscuits are all the dog needs. Another advantage of feeding good quality biscuits like Eukanuba - solid turds. Much easier to clean up than running Pal-turds.
$85 for a 15kg bag - lasts my ridgey a couple of months
When she was a pup I used to let the biscuits soak in salt reduced stock or gravy so they were softer.
Having a small puppy proof area to put the pup in is very important (crate training). I had a small pen that i left her in. Keep them here when you dont want them chewing/digging everything in site. My ridgey had a taste for electrical cabling and reticulation pipes - the pen literally saved her life :P
If you have any questions about the little terror post on here... sounds like there are a few people with puppy experience more than willing to offer their advice!
Did you ever hear about the Iams/Eukanuba animal testing thingo? I'm not up to date with it myself as I don't ever intend to use their stuff in the first place anyway as I've got my own tested brands already though it might something worth looking up.

Also I'm going to buy a bulk load of Mince meat, rice and eggs, and package it in the freezer and pull it out that morning for him, mush it all up together with a nicely cracked egg in it :P
I know what your saying, when you say your never ready if its your first, but at least I can get what i can ready for him to the best of my knowledges, but i know I will always be surprised :P
Also, be prepared for late night wakeups like you would with a baby. First couple months had to wake up at 2am and 5am to bring them out to the toilet.
The very rough general rule is age (in months) + 1 = time needed before going toilet again.
I've got a horror story about the our gsd eating something that didn't go well with his stomach, but I'll relay that later.

I read this. Crate Training for your Puppy Seems really good, I will definitely do this. Sounds great!

GG. You may have gotten the most stupidest one of the bunch.
ALWAYS inspect the dogs yourself. Sure a family member can do it for you, but only you can choose the pup you really want.
I can't get one in Darwin and no family in Melbourne, whats this GG? Don't have to be a douche about it I really want one, and I can't get one here. Thats not even close to constructive criticism, thats common sense, but what do you do when you have your heart set on something and you don't want anything else.
It was my choice and im happy with it, if you dont like it, lie to me, don't bring me down.

I' not trying to bring you down Phenom, but buying a pup without seeing it upclose is like buying a second hand car with a blindfold on.
Either way, I'm going to love it. And it's going to make me happy.
nah i bought one from down south and it turned out really well i got an awesome dog
In a way it is quite hard to get a dog in Darwin basically because of the available population.
