So did Angelina ask for too much money/not want to do it? She was a great Lara, fit the role well I thought and being a half decent actress is important in these (weak plotline) films.
While the Brit definitely looks the part, her acting could make this a turkey really easy.

Every Tomb Raider game has a different Lara Croft. Angelina was involved for the film projects specifically, not for any of the games.

Well it's not that she wasn't offered enough or didn't want to do it, it's that she wasn't offered at all. She's the movie star, not the games promotion girl. But yes, she probably wouldn't want to anyway - the pay packet for this gig would be far less than the movies.
