3 dead in road carnage

ANOTHER three people have died on Territory roads in two separate accidents.
A man and woman were killed about 3.30pm yesterday when their car rolled about 30km north of Barrow Creek.
They were dead when police and ambulance officers arrived on the scene. There was no one else in the car.
The Stuart Highway was closed at the crash site for several hours last night.

He said people should already have cleaned their outside areas and got rid of rubbish.
"Have a look around your backyard or balcony ... see if there's anything there that you really need to throw away, anything you need to secure," he said.
"Say to yourself, 'within 24 hours am I going to be able to take everything out of the yard and put it in the shed, put it in the house - or put furniture in the pool?"' Mr Crilly said.
Cyclone watch advice means gale force winds may occur in 24 to 48 hours, while a cyclone warning means winds of at least gale force are likely to occur within 24 hours.
The weather bureau has predicted a pre-Christmas cyclone, as well as a chance of a severe storm of Category 3 or higher.
It has also said the season might produce an above-average number of tropical cyclones around the Top End - the average is two to three.
