Yeah, most stores are doing a pre release thing. Play guitar hero, chat, some stores may be showing the footage from the US opening. The games still won't be handed out till midnight though, unless you already have one :D

I can tell you right now, the quest "Last Rites" shows that Blizzard has put alot of effort into this game, compared to Burning Crusade. Best thing I've seen in-game so far.

Picking up my collectors this morning, JB Hifi didnt do a midnight launch and EB wouldnt let me pre-order collectors that early, wasnt a risk I was willing to take seeing as I have the collectors of vanilla wow and tbc.

JB Hifi did do a midnight launch, got my game with no waiting, no pre-order and cheaper too, thumbs up to JB. Apparently EB's line went on for ages, I walked straight in and out lol, felt like another midnight servo run...

I got called and asked if I wanted to upgrade my preored to a collectors edition, said yes, then there was some sort of second round of calling where they couldnt get me. so apparently I got dropped of the CE list :(

Its this exact bullshit that I wanted to avoid, that's why I went to JB HiFi who let me specifically pre-order the CE before EB Games even acknowledged it existed.
When the original came out, I had a CE pre-ordered at Harvey Norman who kept assuring me that "We definately have enough copies to cover the pre-orders" after I asked them specifically are they sure because I KNEW pre-orders werent being filled. They told me "Yes we have x amount preordered and the same amount in our warehouse just waiting for the release date".
Come release day "Oh sorry, pre-orders didnt fill anywhere so you missed out".
Ended up paying $350 on ebay >.>

Agreed, the work thats gone into WotLK really shows through. The quests and overall game quality is infinitely better than Vanilla and TBC. Also Naxx is too damn easy now.
