Its got some neat features: cable management, usb ports, backlit keys, disable windows button. Still couldn't justify spending more than "00 on a kb though.

The G11 was a waste of money, the G15 was a waste of money, and the G19 is going to be an epic waste of money. This is coming from someone who buys virtually every new gaming mouse and usually doesn't spare any expense when building a gaming rig. It's a f*cking keyboard, and none of the features these introduce is worth the extra $90-$370! :)
Unfortunately, all of Logitech's "classic" and multimedia keyboards have mucked up the key layout around the arrow-keys. Which is why I had two Logitech Elite keyboards at my disposal at all times, but both were getting a bit iffy by the time I left for London... but they had been used for around 3 years.
I'll be buying a Microsoft Digital Media Keyboard 3000 upon my return to Aus in April. The Microsoft keyboards have a softer and quieter touch, anyway. To get the same feeling with Logitech keyboards you need to put Vaseline under each key. The MS keyboards just don't seem to last as long.

Remember that's the price on their website should be cheaper at other stores. The g15 is "99 there but around "20 at other places. Still expensive for a keyboard though.

just picked one up for $240, harveys has 40% off ALL logitech products atm.
cheapest online price is about $285 + p&h.
wont see them cheaper than this for awhile.

the ability to change the keys colour is awsome
and the screen is really handy to play music on, if i wanna wack some tunes on i dont have to turn my tv on anymore :D
ingame it is also really handy to change tunes

I've used $25 keyboards for a decade of gaming, and "pro gaming". I'll happily spend money on audio, PC hardware, mice and even mouse pads. But spending money on keyboards is just ludicrous. It's certainly money that's better spent on any other facet of your gaming, I think.

i agree... but i've got a mx-315? mouse... mmmeh cant remember logitech something...
but back to my rambles... When I bought my laptop they gave me "00 in store credit, which they didnt allow me to take off my laptop, but the g15 was "15 so I picked it up for "5... cbf going back to the shop to use the credit anyhow :P
oh one thing I have heard tho, is a responsive keyboard is always the best... ie if you only need to push the key down .5mm instead of 1mm its better. Had a friend who always used to do a full f1 race each time there was an f1 race about to happen where ever in the world. There was 4 of them that did it and one day one of them bought a keyboard that was more responsive, he ended up shaving 1 - seconds off each lap... after the 3rd or 4th race the other 3 bought more responsive keyboards :P

Yeah, you can't buy an outright shit keyboard - but there are a bunch of Logitech and Microsoft keyboards under $60 that are as good as any in terms of key feel and performance. I always just wait for discounts and stock up. :P
As for the mouse; not sure about the 315, but if you're talking about the MX300; it's a keeper. The optical performance is on par with the MX500/510, making it hands-down the best mouse for left handed users. Obviously go the 500/510/518 if you're a right-hander.

if not the G19, then I'm recommending the Wave. yeah it's ergonomic, but it feels soo good XD

the post is l8t but i just got G19 cheap as $85 bucks at cashies and just had to get a 5v 3a Power pack for it from jaycar and it kicks ass. I just like to find some apps for it that work (I have Everest, 2 Sideshow items that's all i could find)

I use an A4 tech wireless keyboard. Been using it for 7 years now, never skipped a beat, really comfortable to use.

i had a old Pentium era keyboard before my G15 had it since 1992 and still have it now on the server. A4 Tech i do not think i have seen them?
