Who's buying a ticket for this?

I don't usually buy lotto tickets - especially since working in a Casino, but I figured $90mil is a fking huge sum and hey, you gotta be in it to win it right?

My office has a System's entry and I'm probably gonna nick down to the News agency to grab a couple of quick picks too. I've already got my wish-list written up :p

FYI; odds of getting 1st division on a Super7's entry is 1 in 45,379,620.

GL.

Now you know why I used the qualifier "usually".

Bigger prize pools attract more players. More players mean more duplicate entries. This is particularly true of lotto numbers below 31 as many people play some version of a birthday. If there are more duplicated entries, the prize pool is split more ways.

If I understand the press material, the odds of being the only person to pick the winning numbers is approximately 45 million to one.

;)
Lifted that from the Tattersalls website.
If i interperated it correctly, it was the odds of winning 1st division; as opposed to the only person to win 1st division.

Semantics, I know :)

lenko's number is the number of combinations you can make from 7 numbers in 1-45

presidentes number is a whole different statistical nightmare based on numbers of people to buy lotto tickets

an interesting point about this one, is that the games cost about " per combination

so if you had 45 million dollars sitting around, you could double it :P

assuming you were the only winnner.
