For those that are still interested and missed out on the opportunity, I have a few invites available. Note that I will only give them to known forum users. Game is great so far for a Beta.

I still have 15 invites left. I sent a lovely email to one of the devs that I have been mates with and he gave me quite a few for NoS and DGA to give out.
What is your nic ingame Phenix? Add Lothar and renewable (dragonxr) and we will have a game or two if you like it.
It is fun and adictive if you get set on learning to play the game early and not feeding the enemy.

I have found that a lot of the players are very abusive. They start a server which say noobs allowed or noobs only and then abuse you if you do something wrong. The worst bit is they don't explain what it is you did wrong :(
I haven't played a single game (except where it is GU members only) where I haven't been abused by more then one person on my side.

had the same issue in the DEMO of Demigod. which was annoying because the demo only allows MP, so you get no tutorial. even told them at the start i'd never played it before. ahh well, got two to rage quit by the end anyway so yeah, i think i won even tho my team lost ;P

It typical in the MOBA genre that the community is unforgiving to new people learning the game. Imo the way i learnt how to play Dota is just sit in a room full of asian guys playing dota and watch them play and listen to all the mouse click spam they do.
On a side note, has anyone played League of Legends, apparently its going to be released around the same time as HON

It was actually a bit of a laugh. I was drunk and they kept typing up 'b'. I don't know what 'b' means, I thought they were stuttering. Apparently it meant come back to base.

yeah i know, its a bit gay sometimes coz theres no standard way of saying strats. it just depends which group of players you are with

Friends all say this is a great game. watched some videos and looked at some screenies but I was too slow for beta invite =(.

I never played DoTa; but I just tried playing a few games.
For someone like me (not having played dota) there are a few issues:
Theres nowhere to practice before going online - needs a tutorial even for beta.
My Hero couldnt use any of his abilities?
My Hero got one shot just about every time?
The only time team-mates talk is to spurt out a random acronym.
I'm sure it's probably a good game when you understand it - but for me it's simply frustrating.
Maybe when it goes live and theres a local skirmish mode or something for me to practice with.

well the random acronym thing wont happen anymore in HON as it has inbuilt voip now lol. get ready for fobby rage
