judging from machine-gun arse at the end of the trailer, i'd say it's going to be pretty close to the source :)

I just miss the old theme song... the high pitched "Flying high in the sky..."
I grew up on Astro boy and have such fond memories... The anime that they get kids to watch these days is just so terrible...

id imagine if they did live action they would give the actor a different kind of suit instead of being exactly as the source material, much like most comic movies.
and alot of it would be cgi so not a real actor in the first place.
the fact is that you would still see "a small boy running around shirtless in tight pants and booties" if it is real or animated, it just takes someone strange enough to think something sexual out of it on a forum post for no apparent reason other than to be a dick.
so how about instead of being a dick with his mind in some sick gutter stick to the topic of the movie.
on that note, apparently there was meant to be an astro boy live action made years back by steven speilberg but it was cancelled. he made A.I. artificial intelligence instead though.
