Well the DGA lan is over - I must say it went better than I had expected. only a few problems with peoples machines so the gaming went pretty smoothly.

My PC and I are in counselling now, trying to sort out our differences. Hopefully we can reconcile in time for the next LAN, for the sake of our children at least.

THe LAN was very good but too much leechers.
Next time maybe I could get plugged into a 100Mbit hub????

I don’t think plugging your self into a 100mb hub will do much. At the Digarentamortar LAN or LAN, LAN we had a 16 port 100mb switch. All the 10mb hubs were plugged into it as well as 8 of us.
There was fuck all diff in pings just a steady 40-70.
Set leeching times would be a must at the next DGA LAN, or any LAN’s for that matter.

Yeah a leaching period is a must next time.
Plus I have arranged - or actually am arranging for 1 x 10/100 switch and a couple or more of 10/100 hubs to daisy form that.
