Definately go that over the hero.
Bigger screen, bigger screen resolution, 2.4x the camera resolution, 2x video recordering resolution with twice the frame rate. It even has a faster CPU.
No 3.5mm audio jack, though? Lame.

That's a pretty hefty handset. Great specs.
But lack of comprehensive app store is a stupid un-iphone-like oversight and would stop me choosing this phone. :P

I thought Microsoft were working on their own variant of the app store. On any account that Leo is fantastic, if only it had TV Out and 1080p instead of 720p. I'm waiting for the next model up from that one, it will have the new Tegra chipset...12mp camera support and 1080p playback all while using less than 1W of power.

Those are the specs of the nVidia tegra chip and it's been known since about January that HTC will be using it in a high end phone. There was a leaked product lineup back in January and so far its been spot on with every phone on it except for the Tegra one which is the highest spec one and above what is now called the Leo/released after the Leo.

I won't ever buy another HTC product in my life. The iMate was the worst smart phone I used... Great for all of one week, and it was downhill from there.
Additionally, I'm also with Rec, the phone is doomed for failure if it doesn't support the 3.5mm jack.

if that were true sony's mobile division would've been dead long ago - i dont think they've ever shipped a phone with a non-proprietary audio jack - certainly none that i've owned have had them. Not that it's affected me at all as i dont use my phone for multimedia beyond snapping quick pics with the built in camera

The new motrolla DROID looks like a nice phone. A suitable upgrade from The HTC G1.

I don't think any device is doomed because of a lack of 3.5mm compatibility. But it most certainly doesn't broaden their target demographic - there's a whole bunch of people that won't buy any phone that doesn't have 3.5mm (myself obviously being one of them).
PS. The Sony Xperia X1 and Xperia X2 both have 3.5mm jacks.

i just got the HTC TD2 .. still getting used to it all considering i havnt gotten a new phone in like 4 years or something ..
full touch screen .. just getting used to it, got some sexy things on it .. and the games are good .. busting out lemmings between jobs is where its at.
