Ok here's the deal.
My mate is here with me from Adelaide.
I want to come to DGA, but im not taking him if he is going to be sitting there without being able to play, and im not leaving him here by himself.
So, if anyone has a decent spare PC that runs Counter-Strike decently (you all know what i mean by decent - at least smooth at 640x480), I'll chuck $20 your way to bring it a long, so my mate can play.
Otherwise, I'll be staying home this DGA.

Hay R3COIL i can supply a system just needs some memory a bigger HDD just a 2-4 mg HDD , and good Video card ( it has a i740 intel card ).
Can anyone else help out with the rest ???

I'll do my best to claim the 128RAM b4 the 2DGA LAN. HallMark might tell me off and I can't be sure you'll be able to make it work. I just brought the stick in for checking @ Hallmark this arvo and they'll tell me if something is wrong with it or not.

I also need a video card if someone wantz to lend me one for the DGA Lan.. I'd be so grateful =). I wanna buy a geforce II DDR 64mb but i dont quite yet have the money yet and ive only got a 2mb S3 Trio at the moment in my comp.. Not attractive accompanying 1100 mhz with 512mb ram..
So shannow if ya wanna lend me your V3 that'd be wicked and i may even buy it. Flammable i don't think i should bother asking you coz i can guess what the answer will be...

Yeah we are working on sponsorship - have a few things in the pieline but no prizes will be offered at this lan. - We are TRYING to get some for the next one.
I will be quite interested to see how the library goes as a location.
There will be a computer there for people who dont have one but it is a "for sale" system and is not exactly "UBute"

Phoenix... If the DGA LAN becomes monthly, I can get you GameLoft sponsoring, AusGamers sponsoring and QGL sponsoring.
This will get you t-shirts, loads of free, new, fullversion games, a whole bunch of other shit... Plus the fact that you will be Darwins official LAN according to AusGamers - Just like Shafted is melbounre's official. =)
I reckon we should swing the monthly idea and get the sponsorship - get Darwin on the map, so to speak.

Monthly LAN is the way
We need large xpressions of interest to get this stuff organised and moving so get more people to reply on this forum and talk to the organisers TN1 and Pheonix. More people = more equipment = more stuff = more fun

But I must say that EOS is right. Since I started DGA only a couple of ppl have offered to help out which is fine but if you all wanna go monthly, I am gonna need some more ppl - for site updates, Venue arrangement and so on. The work is not hard and so far I have been getting Howard (TN1) to do most of it - and he hasn't complained once. Anyway ppl, I am happy to go with the sponsorship and "get darwin on the map". - geez to think that I nearly scrapped the idea of DGA too. Now I am glad I did not.
I say we show the rest of australia what we can do. Who's in?
