LBH was a huge success, we had quite a few new faces pop up [Image: http://bbs.gamers.octa4.net.au/smile.gif], the only hic up was when steve left us to chase some girls ... [Image: http://bbs.gamers.octa4.net.au/biggrin.gif] and the game comps went belly up, [Image: http://bbs.gamers.octa4.net.au/frown.gif] rec helped out with the Quake 3 Comps.
Well done to Shannow the winner of the Q3 comp, Shriggin coming second and third place Cthulu. ( wellcome back Cthulu ) rec and tn1 also just missed out on a placing... We have pics of the event they will be uploaded on the DGA site soon.

In whole the event ROCKED... Their were however some major points that needed fine tuning....
1. The Networking 2. Organising of the Clan Wars 3. Steve, How could you leave your own LAN so so many times....... 4. Who is in charge of what ????a whole lot of cheifs and not enough Indians.....

'twas kewl guys... I missed the wars and all...but still the last part was fine for me, and my rig was not going well again, until TN1 the main man touched it...(he must have a magic thingy)
two things i would like to bitch about now that i think of it:
The lack of sharing - I was personally quite angry at the lack of sharing some of the people were doing. i my self basically shared my entire hard drive with no passwords while others either shared nothing or just put passwords on. me thinks at next lan i will share nothing. I think Steve, layoric and myself were basically the only people sharing anything
Counter-Strike Tournament - Although no doubt passes my mind that p would of won the tournament, im still pissed none the less they were basically handed the money with no FINAL between p and [Bob]. Yes they would most probably of won it but at least they would of earned it
Other than my close gaming mates beng DNC, TOB and fellow Pantheon members who I already respect on and off the servers - DT have complete respect from my end, great blokes and fucking good players.
Well I reckon the Lan was flamin excellent except I do agree with the others in relation to the clan wars etc, ie need more. I had to laugh at Wrtels post re BOB wanting to smash Pantheon. Heh Heh. To say I was emotionally moved by their constant "pop round the corner" headshot type play, is an understatement.
I played one of Gunz bots later and then realised that some of P players are actully BOTS. LOL
Anyways I had a ball as did Lil Sponge. I want to thank DNC Clackers and ACE for allowing LiL Sponge to use their machines again, your kindness wont go unnoticed.
Thanks to everyone who helped me out with files and the like.

Me and Ace thank SBSP for those kind words!!! But mesa is thinking that at the next LAN we should be thinking about a different format for these CLAN matches .. ie every CLAN gets to play every CLAN and the final match whould be the CLANs with the most amount of win/loses for the day .. mesa just thinking it would be much fairer and every-one would get to play everyone .. Because to pay $25 dollars and play one match (as I think DT did) doesn't seem that fair to me.. And if we keep it up .. we will lose players !!

I hope you all had a ball, its a gerat way to start the school holidays off with a 4 day LAN.

Instead of playing ladders where a clan eliminates others, I suggest playing round robin where you gotta win 3 of 5 wars... but here's a catch... it'll be difficult to get it going and I think too much CS will eat the gaming time... plus some ppl (like me) show up late
Better yet... we can try the round robin in the next LAN event by playing of 3 out of 5 with a minimum of 3 wars to get eliminated, with a qualifying of 3 wins to move on to the next round... that way, everyone plays at least 3 matches with every other clan...
I'll work out a possible match play with schedules this week and if possible I'll post time frames. I'll ask clan leaders to post in their clan name and clan strength (how many confirmed who will be ppl participating) and see how we go from there. WoOt!! WooHoO! Biohazard rocked. It was a great weekdend. Even if i had next to no sleep for the whole weekend i think it was well worth it. Good job to get it all set up and running. However i agree with Flamm there was no one sharing anything or next to nothing. Kitsume and Flamm where the only persons i managed to get some files off. I also have to agree that the Comps where poorly done, not only does this reflect on the organisers but the players as well. When it was annouced that the comps where due to start soon, all those intending to enter should have been exiting the game they was in and getting there clan organised to go then and there. A round robin system would be heaps better, then at least clans can claim with some proof that they are the best in Darwin. Flamm thanks for the two or three movies i leeched of you...... I agree there was not a great deal on offer...But look at my experiance I had over 8gb of movies, all burned onto CD I had a movie list file for all to read that was shared. I oppened up my CS and Half Life directories. IN big bold letters don't leech until you ask as i had most of my stuff burned onto disc any way. As the network was a bit unstable grabbing the CD would be better. But every time i checked somebody was going ahead and leeching files that i had shared in error. So if it says ASK and you will recieve and the little pricks take anyway then screw them. Those that know me already know that whats mine is theirs anyway. Next lan the people I repsect will have access the rest can bow down and beg.....

There are peeps who i will turn a blind eye to leeching off me ie tn1 as he organises these lans and deserves something for it, etc. I dont mind as long as im not trying to play a freaking game
