Just a single run from one zone to another, nothing too elaborate, more just re-familiarising myself with the tools. I'll get something better and more comprehensive together sometime down the road.
Squad play is quite enjoyable. You can choose to sporn on any one of your squad members (not just the leader) so back dooring is relatively easy. Should have another round or three on mumble again tonight if possible.
I'm quite annoyed with Steam atm. Took me an hour to buy the damn thing and i leave it overnight to download and the damn thing didn't even start. Grrrrr! >.< I can only play so much on the 360!!!
It's not an asthetic thing, it's a gameplay decision, do I remain on foot and be mobile and have my weapons ready, or do I make myself vulnerable for a short duration in exchange for bigger weapons and armour.
The first hour wasn't looking promising for me. Was getting quite frustrated etc.
Then i Joined a few GU lads in a squad and found the games real strength. Also, it's fortunate that combat rezzing and healing teammates awards so many points, because I certainly cant shoot to save my life :p
Random find Quote: Once the dart is placed, pull out the rocket launcher and look through the scope. Regardless whether there is terrain or bloom obstructing your view of the vehicle you will see a small orange square. keep that square near the centre of the crosshairs of the rocket launcher you will see the square pulse 3 or 4 times and then stop pulsing but thicker than before. this means you have a lock. The rocket will track to the dart almost immediately. the easiest thing to do it to fire the rocket directly up in the air, you will see it jump towards your target within half a second. Also lol of the day:
Would be awesome to do it in an APC. Launch a whole squad behind enemy lines hehe.
i used to do similar shenanigans in BF1942. Most of those were riding the wings of planes, stunt flying etc.
Got 47hrs logged into the beta now. I just can't get enough of it! I just had a massive 6hr session and just realised its 5am and i really need to go to bed :p
Hehe, just put up a quick vid of how to C4 the Alpha M-COMM building on initial spawn. I thought it might be pertinent as it seems a lot of people don't know how to bring it down with just 6x C4.
Quote from rec;378486: Haha, those are some massive throws. So ideally, you'd want to jump off the bike, parachute down, and C4 some points. :D
We actually worked out that you can launch a quad to the second tier of M-COMMS with explosives from 4 people. The only catch is landing and planting before your 10 seconds are up :p
man it's so easy to get stabbity kills in this game now - not that i'm complaining - bf2 and 2142 i was lucky to get 1 or 2 a match, now it's 4+ easily.

It's definitely easier in the respect that the maps are narrower, so getting behind people is easier. But the actual attack animation when knifing is so gay. I tried stabbing a guy 4 times and it missed every single time. He ended up turning around and knifing me in the face. Was most disappointed.
